摘要: A two-piece rear grip apparatus 22 for a personal watercraft includes a body member 23 having either a U-shaped or an H-shaped cross-sectional shape. The body member includes a recessed portion 28, which opens upwardly. The apparatus also includes a grip face member 24 for placement covering the sculpted recess. The two component parts of the apparatus may be formed from a plastic resin. The grip face member 24 may be injection molded, and has slip-resistant textured irregularities 36 formed thereon to provide purchase for the palm of a user's hand. The two component parts of the apparatus may be formed by compression molding or injection molding. Even if the surface of the grip face member includes fine detail work, injection molding can effectively transfer such detail from a metal mold into the finished part. Accordingly, the grip face member can be made to include fine detail work.

摘要: An improved diver's boarding ladder and dive door for a boat having a dive opening. The boarding ladder is positionable between a boarding position and a storage position without having to be removed and stored. In the boarding position, the dive opening is opened and the boarding ladder extends below the waterline to assist swimmers and divers in boarding the boat from the water. In the storage position, the dive door closes the dive opening and the boarding ladder is stored out of the way inside the boat's hull in an inverted position. The boarding ladder is secured in the dive opening with a hinge that runs along the entire length of the bottom of the dive opening and acts as a chafe plate to prevent damage to the boat's hull from dive equipment.

摘要: A portable stanchion for containerized ships is set forth. The portable stanchion includes a vertical post which is attached to a lock shoe, and the vertical post contains rings through which ropes may be passed. The portable stanchion may be locked in position to the ship's deck by operating a foot lever, and it may be removed therefrom by operating the foot lever and lifting the stanchion from the holes formed within the ships deck to which the stanchions may be attached. Ropes may be passed between the stanchions in order to further enhance the safety provided by the Bel stanchion.

摘要: A universal connector for interconnecting a pair of elongated elements in adjustable angular relation includes a pair of cooperative clamping members adapted to be clamped in place on one of said elongated elements and a third member adapted to be secured to the other of said pair of elongated elements. Each of said clamping members includes a clamping portion intermediate the ends adapted to clampingly engage a surface on one side of one elongated element and has first and second opposite end portions extending outwardly thereof. The first end portions of the clamping members are pivotally and releasably interconnected for permitting opposed intermediate clamping portions to move toward and away from each other between a clamping position and an open position. The clamping members also include a pivot for supporting the third member of connector to permit angular adjustment between the pair of elongated elements when the connector members are clamped and secured in place. A threaded fastener is provided for interconnecting the second end portions of the opposing clamping members to move the clamping portions thereof into clamping engagement against the elongated element to secure the universal connector in place for angularly interconnecting the pair of elongated elements.

摘要: A low-profile fishing boat having a forward cabin in the bow covered by a foredeck whose level is about the same as the hull sheer line, the foredeck terminating at the bulkhead of the cabin. A bow rail is secured to the boundary of the foredeck and a center control console is mounted on the foredeck at a position thereon displaced from the bow rail to create a walk-around passage. The cabin bulkhead has a center door flanked on either side by steps leading from the walk-around passage on the foredeck to the sole of a rear cockpit, whereby a pilot stationed before the center console has good visibility in all directions and has ready access to both the cockpit and the bow for carrying out docking and anchoring stations. The complete walk-around capability of this boat is advantageous in fishing to both pilot and passengers.
