Abstract: A windshield cover and method for protecting a windshield of a towed vehicle, such as a boat, can be removably secured over the windshield when being pulled on a trailer. The cover matches the size and shape of the windshield and is flexible to conform to a curvature of the windshield. The cover has a soft, cushion layer and a waterproof and oil-resistant and non-absorbent material. The cover can have bifurcated panels with a partition corresponding to a passthrough of a boat windshield.

Abstract: A shade assembly for personal watercraft to provide shade for the user from direct exposure of at least some sunlight. The shade assembly comprises a shade top, a front fixing structure, and a rear supporting structure. The shade top is designed to be attached to the front fixing structure and the rear supporting structure to create a shade that extends over the user. The front fixing structure comprises two or more fasteners to securely attach the shade top to the steering control handle or two or more supporting pillars, while the rear supporting structure comprises two or more supporting pillars to be fixed on the aft side of the personal watercraft. This shade assembly provides a simple and efficient solution to protect the user of personal watercraft from harmful sun exposure.

Abstract: A portable cover structure includes a pair of flexible poles that are disposed in a generally parallel fashion, and a sunscreen that is attached to the poles on opposed sides thereof, so that the sunscreen is stretched between the poles. One end of each bendable pole may be removably attached to a structure, such as a dock, and the other end of each pole is preferably connected to an adjustable strap or cord. The distal end of the strap or cord may be attached to a dock, a cleat or a boat, and may include a snap-fit mechanism for such removable attachment. The cover structure may alternate between a first position over a dock and a second position over a boat, as desired. When not in use, the portable cover structure may be disassembled and stored in a bag or container.

Abstract: A sliding roof panel assembly for covering a roof opening of a marine craft is disclosed. The sliding roof panel assembly comprises a slide guide for attachment along one side of the roof opening, a roof panel which is slidably moveable between an open and lifted position and a closed and lowered position, the roof opening being covered by the roof panel in the closed and lowered position, and a slide assembly guided for travel along the slide guide and supporting the roof panel. The slide guide has a slide track and a guide rail, the slide track and the guide rail each extending along the slide guide, the guide rail having a forward depressed portion and a rearward raised portion. The slide assembly comprises a drive slide driveably moveable along the slide track of the slide guide, a guide rail follower supported by and moveable along the guide rail, the guide rail follower supporting the roof panel, and a first lever, linking the drive slide and the roof panel via respective rotatable links. In use, the roof panel is slidably moveable from the open and lifted position to the closed and lowered position by driving the drive slide forward in the slide track to move the guide rail follower forward along the rearward raised portion of the guide rail until the guide rail follower reaches the forward depressed portion of the guide rail. The guide rail follower travels downwardly along the forward depressed portion of the guide rail relative to the drive slide by the weight of the roof panel and rotation of the first lever, the roof panel following the movement of the guide rail follower downwardly towards the closed and lowered position.

Abstract: An improved mounting device and assembled configuration for deploying a manually operated pullout shade system of the type having a tensioned roller member carrying a flexible canvas sheet and parallel tubular actuators therefor. In one embodiment of the present invention, a mounting device is disclosed for securing the manual pullout shade system onto an arching tubular overhead structure onboard a boat so that the pullout shade may be adjusted in its working attitude and maintained in proper position for deployment. The mounting device includes a set of clamp members each constructed in the form of a figure “8” with associated circular sections on each clamp member being rotatably coupled together. The circular sections of the clamp members are further adapted to engage about sections of the tubular actuators and nearby portions of the overhead structure thereby providing an adjustable joint coupling between them that allows the pullout shade and its tubular actuators to be placed in various positions for deployment. In a second embodiment, the tensioned roller member of the pullout shade system is attached along the front of rooftop structure on the boat and the tubular actuators are separated therefrom and set apart vertically within the gunnel of the boat on opposite sides near the bow. In this assembled configuration, the canvas sheet may be drawn forward from the rooftop structure on the tensioned roller member and the tubular actuator pulled into extended upright positions to connect with the canvas sheet and support the extended forward deployment of the shade system.
