    Abstract: The display device includes at least one pixel having a first capacitive element having a first terminal and a transistor connected to the first terminal and having a second terminal and a gate electrode. A driving method of the display device including in a first frame, a signal with a first pulse width is supplied to the gate electrode of the transistor, and a first voltage is written from the second terminal to the first terminal. In the second frame after the first frame, a signal with a second pulse width is supplied to the gate electrode, and the first terminal holds the first voltage. In the third frame after the second frame, a signal with a third pulse width is supplied to the gate electrode, and the second voltage is written from the second terminal to the first terminal.

    Abstract: A LCD device having a large pixel holding capacitance includes opposedly facing first and second substrates, and liquid crystal between them. The first substrate includes a video signal line, a pixel electrode, a thin film transistor having a first electrode connected to the video signal line and a second electrode connected to the pixel electrode, a first silicon nitride film formed above the second electrode, an organic insulation film above the first silicon nitride film, a capacitance electrode above the organic insulation film, and a second silicon nitride film above the capacitance electrode and below the pixel electrode. A contact hole etched in both the first and second silicon nitride films connects the second electrode and the pixel electrode to each other. A holding capacitance is formed by the pixel electrode, the second silicon nitride film and the capacitance electrode.

A protective member is disposed over the upper polarizing plate, and an adhesive member is disposed between the protective member and the upper polarizing plate without an air layer between the protective member and the upper polarizing plate. The protective member is configured as a protective cover of the electronic device.

    Abstract: In a display device including a flexible display panel, the risk of disconnection of a wiring due to bending is reduced. A display panel includes a display function layer including display elements and a wiring on one major surface of a base material having flexibility. The display panel includes, on the one major surface of the base material, an organic-film-covered wiring area where the surface of the wiring is covered with an organic planarization film that is an organic insulating film in direct contact with the wiring. The display panel includes, in the plane thereof, a display area where the display elements are arranged and a component mounting area that is a peripheral area located outside the display area. As the organic-film-covered wiring area, a curved area is provided in the peripheral area.

    Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device includes a semiconductor layer, a first insulating layer, a gate electrode, a second insulating layer and a plurality of transparent conductive layers. The transparent conductive layers include a pixel electrode, a first conductive layer and a second conductive layer. The pixel electrode is in contact with the second conductive layer. The second conductive layer is in contact with the first conductive layer.
