Abstract:
A non-contact apparatus removes translational energy (slows movement) of a first magnetic assembly when it is moved through the magnetic field of a second magnet. The first magnetic assembly contains a magnet that can rotate, such as a diametrically magnetized cylindrical magnet in a cylindrical cavity. Rotation of the first magnet does work against a predetermined drag. The apparatus also forms a non-contact magnetic coupling that holds a predetermined relative position. The apparatus can be used as a door catch that slows down and quietly stops a door at a predetermined position.
Abstract:
To provide a vehicle door opening/closing device arranged to pivotally connect a vehicle body and a door with a hinge member and provided with a damper arranged to impart a braking force to the door when the door is turned, the damper being directly connected to the hinge member, the hinge member includes a first hinge arm fixed to a floor, a pin shaft fixed to the first hinge arm and extending outward of the first hinge arm, and a second hinge arm pivotally mounted on the pin shaft and fixed to a lower end of a lower door, and the damper includes a rotors connected to a projecting portion of the pin shaft, a housing rotatably mounted on the rotor and fixed to the lower door, and a braking means contained in the housing to impart a braking force to the housing when the housing is rotated relative to the rotor.
Abstract:
A damper apparatus includes a stationary housing defining a cavity. A damper body rotatablely installed in the cavity has a head protruding to form a cylindrical guiding portion and a pushing portion defining two side ends apart from each other and rotatable sheets and stationary sheets are respectively received in the cavity and alternately disposed on the guiding portion and the pushing portion. The stationary sheets are fixed to the stationary housing. Each of the rotatable sheets protrudes inwardly to form a retaining portion. The two side ends of the pushing portion alternately engage the retaining portions and at least two of the retaining portions are different in width so as to make the side end of the pushing portion asynchronously contact the retaining portions. Damper resin is filled between the adjacent stationary sheets and rotatable sheets.
Abstract:
A hinge includes a housing. A stopper plugging up one end of the housing defines a through-hole. A sliding cam slideably received in the housing defines concave portions on a top surface thereof and an axial hole. A rotatable cam has a base portion extending downward to form pushing portions disposed in the concave portions. The base portion defines a receiving hole. A top surface of the base portion protrudes upward and defines a stepped portion. A spring is slideably received in the housing. One end of the spring is fixed on the sliding cam and the other end of the spring is fastened around the stopper. A shaft received in the housing runs through the axial hole, the spring and the through-hole. An end of the shaft is fixed with the stopper, and an opposite end of the shaft is received in the receiving hole. A damper has a top wall extending downward to form an enclosure. A top surface of the top wall protrudes upward to form a preventing block. A bottom surface of the top wall extends downward to form mounting portions. The mounting portions are encircled in the enclosure and match with the stepped portion. A cap rotatablely receiving the damper defines an accommodating space. A part of the accommodating space forms a restraining portion.
Abstract:
Furniture hinge with damping device which is insertable into the box of the hinge and fixable therein before the box is assembled with the other components of the hinge. In this way the damping device is protected against external actions, such as impact or pressure that can damage or affect the functioning of the device, by the same box made of steel or of another rigid material.

A refrigerator is provided to prevent sustaining of injuries by users, and which is capable of being hygienically used. The refrigerator prevents users sustaining injuries from inadvertently bumping into a dispenser or a tray when passing by the refrigerator.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a home-bar door apparatus for a refrigerator. The home-bar door apparatus includes a home-bar door (30) that selectively opens or closes an opening (22) formed in a home-bar frame (20) and has rotational shafts (34) protruding at both sides of a lower portion thereof and a catching step (35) formed along a lower end thereof, dampers (36) that is installed on a rear face of the home-bar frame (20) and controls an opening/closing speed of the home-bar door (30) by receiving the rotational shafts (34) of the home-bar door (30) therein so that the rotational shafts (34) of the home-bar door (30) can be relatively rotated, and a stop rib (26) that is formed laterally along a lower end of a groove (23) formed around a periphery of the opening (22) and has stopping steps (27) formed at positions corresponding to both ends of a catching step (35) of the home-bar door (30) so that the catching step (35) can be caught by the stopping steps. The home-bar door apparatus for a refrigerator according to the present invention constructed as such has advantages in that the dampers can be more securely installed and the stopping structures for regulating the degree of opening of the home-bar door are positioned at the both ends of the home-bar door so that the center of rotation of the home-bar door can be securely maintained.
Abstract:
Furniture hinge with damping and/or braking device in alternative to those already existing and capable of guaranteeing an improved efficiency during the closing or opening operation of the doors, or other furniture parts, thanks to an improvement of the characteristics of rigidity and, simultaneously, elasticity of the means for transmitting motion from one of the rockers to the damping elements. The improved efficiency of this hinge is also obtained by increasing the friction surfaces with a viscous medium present in suitable areas of the hinge and by allowing regulation of the trend of the angular velocity of a circular shaped element, for example a disc, which acts as braking element in contact with the viscous medium.
Abstract:
A sliding and rotating hinge module for supporting a display screen or the like, includes a bracket, a slider and a support member. The slider is capable of sliding movement relative to said bracket and said support member is capable of pivotal movement relative to said slider. A drum is rotationally supported by the bracket. A constant force spring is attached to the drum at one end and the bracket at another end. The constant force spring is biased to wrap around the drum, the constant force spring unwrapping from the drum as the slider moves toward the retracted position. The constant force spring biases the slider toward the extended position. A damping mechanism damps the rotational motion of the drum relative to the bracket for smooth, non-abrupt movement of the slider.
