Abstract: A method includes sending, from a first electronic device to a second electronic device, a first capability request based on a first schedule. The first electronic device is associated with a first user and the second electronic device is associated with a second user. A first relationship strength is associated with a relationship of the first user and the second user and the first schedule is based on the first relationship strength. The method also includes sending, from the first electronic device to a third electronic device, a second capability request based on a second schedule. Abstract: An architecture is provided that can facilitate and/or transmit notifications based upon device presence techniques in connection with a wireless communications network. For example, when certain mobile devices register with a particular network entity (e.g., a femtocell) that services a particular target location (e.g., place of residence), then such registration can be leveraged to indicate presence at the target location. Accordingly, notifications can be delivered to custodian devices that indicate the presence information if certain predetermined conditions or criteria are satisfied.

The method then determines a second network relative performance parameter for a proposed configuration of the network, based on the respective weighting profiles associated with the services for which the network carries data. The proposed configuration is implemented in the network when the second network relative performance parameter is greater than the first network relative performance parameter.

Abstract: An architecture that can facilitate initiation of an automatic synchronization operation based upon presence information in connection with a wireless communications network is provided. Accordingly, synchronization between the mobile device and other devices can be automatically initiated, without requiring input or effort by a user, or even that the user remembers to perform the synchronization operation. Moreover, the synchronization operation can be wireless, so connection cables need not be maintained or employed.
