The wall has a first opening and a second opening formed therethrough, the first opening has a first center, and the second opening has a second center. The wall also has a first center line and a second center line which is perpendicular to the first center line, and each of the first center and the second center is offset from each of the first center line and the second center line. The ink cartridge also includes a second case enclosed within the first case, and an ink supply portion positioned adjacent to the second end of the wall, in which a portion of the ink supply portion is configured to be received by the first opening. The ink cartridge also includes an opaque, protruding portion extending from the second case and positioned at the wall between the first end of the wall and the ink supply portion, and a portion of the protruding portion is aligned with the second opening.

Moreover, the translucent portion has a first length which extends between the first end of the particular wall and the second end of the particular wall, and the translucent portion has a second length which extends perpendicular to the first length and parallel to the particular wall. Specifically, the first length is greater than the second length.

The valve member is configured to selectively open and close the communication path. The ink cartridge also includes an elastic, and the elastic member has a first opening formed therethrough. Moreover, the ink cartridge includes a cap member connected to the elastic member, such that the elastic member is positioned between the cap member and the valve member, and the cap member has a second opening formed therethrough and a chamber formed therein. In addition, a portion of the chamber is aligned with the first opening.

The first case member includes a first wall, and the first wall includes a translucent portion extending from the first wall in a predetermined direction. The translucent portion has an inner space formed therein. The case also includes a second case member connected to the first case member. The first case member and the second case member define an ink chamber therein, and the second case member includes a second wall which is opposite to the first wall, and a support member connected to an interior surface of the second wall. Moreover, the ink cartridge includes a movable member which includes a signal blocking portion. The signal blocking portion is positioned within the inner space of the translucent portion, and the movable member is connected to the support member.
