    Abstract: There is described a bicycle seat post assembly in which the travel distance of the seat post can be adjusted. The seat post assembly includes an outer tube that is configured to telescopically receive an inner tube. The inner tube is axially slidable relative to the outer tube between a retracted position and an extended position, the extended position being determined by an extension assembly in which an inner contact member engages an outer contact member, thereby setting the upper limit of axial extension of the inner tube. The extension of the inner tube can be limited to an intermediate position that lies between the retracted and extended positions by an insertable shim that is positionable between the inner and outer contact members.

    Abstract: A seat attaching may include a lower seat clamp that is moveable relative to a post head member about a pivot axis and includes: a mounting portion having a bearing surface configured to engage a corresponding cradle portion of the post head member a first channel configured to receive a first seat rail of a bicycle seat and a second channel configured to receive a second seat rail of a bicycle seat. An upper seat clamp may include: a central portion overlying the mounting portion; a first extension portion disposed on a first side of the central portion and having a first retainer surface overlying and facing the first channel to retain the first seat rail within the first channel and having a first apex; and a second extension portion disposed on a second side of the central portion and having a second retainer surface overlying and facing the second channel to retain the second seat rail within the second channel and having a second apex. An upper plane may contain both the first apex and second apex and may be substantially parallel to the pivot axis. The upper plane may be offset below the pivot axis and intersecting the bearing surface. A first fastener may be used to secure the upper seat clamp to the post head member.

    Abstract: A chain guide for a bicycle having may include a base frame and a height adjustment member connected to the base frame and slidable relative to the base frame and lockable in a first position by engaging a first locking member. A retaining member may be pivotally connected to the height adjustment member and may be pivotable about a pivot axis a retaining position, in which the retaining member is positioned to obstruct lateral movement of the chain away from the chainring thereby preventing lateral misalignment between the chain and the chainring, and a removal position, in which the retaining member does not obstruct lateral movement of the chain away from the base frame while the height adjustment member is locked in the first position. The pivot axis may be spaced apart from the first locking member.

    Abstract: A rear bicycle sprocket for use with a multi-gear rear cassette is provided. The sprocket includes a chain engaging portion and a mounting portion having generally annular shape about a central axis and a plurality of support arms, integrally formed with the chain engaging portion and with the mounting portion. The sprocket further includes a plurality of space maintaining protrusions, each space maintaining protrusion extending axially forwardly from an axially forward surface of a corresponding support arm and integrally formed therewith. A multi-gear rear cassette having a plurality of sprockets coaxially mounted together wherein the plurality of sprockets includes the rear bicycle sprocket mounted axially rearmost and a bicycle including the multi-gear rear cassette are further provided.
