摘要： A porous spacer incorporates a vaporizable corrosion inhibitor. The spacer is designed to be placed on a leader pin between the members of a mold or die set. The spacer is compressed between the members when the latter are stored. The spacer releases the inhibitor, which prevents corrosion during the storage period. The spacer serves to maintain a vapor flow space between the members.

摘要： A position sensing switch combined with a slide retainer for injection molds of the type having at least a portion of the molding cavity formed in slides which are slidingly mounted on one of a pair of mold halves such that the slides advance between open and closed positions laterally relative to the mold halves as the mold halves are similarly advanced between open and closed positions. The slide retainer comprises a locking member, such as a spring loaded plunger secured on the slide, and a receiver, such as a detent formed on a slide plate of the mold half to which the slide is slidably connected. The detent is formed in a cover plate extending over a cavity extending into the slide plate and in which the switch is positioned. The switch is positioned with its plunger in alignment with a hole extending through the cover plate and into the detent such the slide retainer plunger engages the switch plunger, directly or indirectly, when the slide retainer plunger is advanced into the detent, activating or changing the switch condition and electronically verifying the position of the slide in the open position. The switch is mounted on a pivotal switch bracket within the cavity which permits adjustment of the position of the switch plunger relative to the detent to adjust the sensitivity of the switch.

摘要： A machine for cutting grooves in foam workpieces includes a plurality of vertically spaced U-shaped cutting wires mounted on pairs of mounting posts. One leg of each U-shaped wire is mounted on one post, while the other leg is mounted on the other post. The posts are mounted on a frame so as to be adjustable in spacing and vertical position with respect to each other, so the widths of the grooves can thereby be adjusted. Horizontal slice-cutting wires are provided behind the groove-cutting wires so that grooves and slices can be cut simultaneously. The slice-cutting wires are aligned at an angle with the vertical so that each slice-cutting wire exits the workpiece before all those beneath it. One version produces tongue-and-groove sheet, while ship-lap sheets are produced by the other version.

摘要： A Friedmann analyser wtih an arrangement of fixed and rotatable shutters for displaying different patterns of light spots to a subject has a screen for displaying to the operator each light spot pattern selected by illumination of a series of light-emitting elements at fixed positions over the screen area. The light-emitting elements are actuated by a fixed array of infra-red emitting and receiving elements that direct radiation onto a binary-coded reflective pattern displaceable with the rotatable shutter and sense the radiation reflected by said pattern so that with the displacement of the shutter different reflected code signals are sensed associated with respective shutter light patterns displayed to the subject.
