    摘要: Methods and apparatuses are provided that allow kernel mode data traffic and user mode data traffic to share a common network communication port. One apparatus includes user mode logic, kernel mode logic, and kernel mode to user mode interface logic. The interface logic is configured to receive data packets and selectively distribute the data packet to either the user mode or kernel mode logic. The interface logic includes “virtual” bridge logic and “virtual” miniport logic. The bridge logic determines if a received data packet is a user mode or kernel mode data packet. If it is a kernel mode data packet, then the bridge logic provides the data packet to the kernel mode logic. If it is a user mode data packet, then the bridge logic stores the data packet in memory for subsequent use by the user mode logic. The bridge logic also receives outgoing kernel mode data packets from the kernel mode logic and provides them to a network communication port, and retrieves outgoing user mode data packets from memory and provides them to the same network communication port. The miniport logic provides an interface between the memory accessed by the bridge logic and user mode logic. The miniport logic accepts outgoing user mode data packets and stores them in the memory for subsequent access by the bridge logic, and retrieves incoming user mode data packets stored in memory by the bridge logic.

    摘要: A new and useful frictionless suspension structure is provided, that can be used with structures such as axles, hinges and other similar types of structures (especially structures where one member rotates relative the other member) can produce various attractive features such as significant energy savings, preserving component life, etc. A frictionless suspension structure comprises a first member with at least one magnet connected thereto and a second member with at least one magnet connected thereto. The magnets connected with the first and second members are configured and oriented with respect to each other to (i) establish respective magnetic fields that interact to suspend one of the members from the other member in a predetermined self centered orientation without physical contact between the members, and (ii) maintain the one of the members suspended from the other member in the predetermined self centered orientation without physical contact between the members.

    摘要: A new and useful structure is provided for supporting and guiding an arrow that is being drawn and released by a bow, in a way that avoids physical contact between the structure and the arrow. Moreover, new and useful components for such structure are also provided. A preferred structure comprises a support magnet for a bow, and an arrow with an arrow magnet in a predetermined position on the arrow. The support magnet is configured to establish a magnetic field that supports and guides the arrow as the arrow is being drawn by a bow. The arrow magnet is disposed in a predetermined position on the arrow, and is configured to react with the magnetic field established by the support magnet, to cause the arrow to be magnetically supported and guided by the support magnet, without physical contact between the arrow and the support magnet, at least partially as the arrow is drawn by a bow and released toward a target.

    摘要: An encapsulating machine includes a pair of offset die rolls with one die roll mounted on slides urged by an adjustable fulcrum spring toward the other die roll. An offset drive coupling between the axle of the die roll and the associated drive shaft allows independent movement of the die axle to compensate for die wear. A split gear between die roll shafts accommodates for backlash and gear wear. Precise pulley-driven timing belts and phase adjusters extend between the die roll drive and a tablet feed roll to synchronize the clocked introduction of tablets onto film of one of the die rolls for encapsulation at the co-acting nip between the die rolls. The die cavities for tablets include a step-cut to improve the sealing of films around the tablets and a circumferential rub rail on opposite edges of each die prevents excessive wear of the die cavity lands.
