    摘要: A medication administering device includes a housing introducible into a body cavity and of a material insoluble in the body cavity fluids, but formed with an opening covered by a material which is soluble in body cavity fluids. A diaphragm divides the interior of the housing into a medication chamber including the opening, and a control chamber. An electrolytic cell in the control chamber generates a gas when electrical current is passed therethrough to deliver medication from the medication chamber through the opening into the body cavity at a rate controlled by the electrical current.

    摘要: The present invention describes package units for medical purposes, in particular for receiving and/or storing sterilizable preparations for parenteral uses or dialysis solutions, comprising a container having at least one discharge spout and consisting of polyamide 66 or a laminate of polyamide 66 sheet and polyolefin sheet, the polyolefin sheet being disposed on the side facing the liquid to be stored and the sheet of polyamide 66 being disposed on the outside and the two sheets being bonded together in usual manner by means of an adhesive. The package units may further comprise an inner container or an outer container. The package unit is made in that a container having at least one discharge spout is made from polyamide 66 or the aforementioned laminate, said container filled with the liquid to be stored, then sealed and sterilized and possibly subsequently surrounded after cooling and drying with an outer container of polymeric material. Package units according to the invention may also be made in that from a polymeric material an inner container having at least one discharge spout is made, said container filled with the liquid to be stored, sealed, then surrounded with an outer container of polyamide 66 or a laminate of polyamide 66 sheet and polyolefin sheet, the polyolefin sheet being disposed at the side of the laminate facing the inner container and the sheet of polyamide 66 of the laminate representing the outer sheet, and thereafter sterilized.

    摘要: An apparatus for extracting bodily fluid (e.g., whole blood) from a user's finger includes a housing with a lancing mechanism and a clamping mechanism attached to thereto. The clamping mechanism includes a lower arm assembly and an upper arm assembly. The upper and lower arm assemblies are operatively connected such that when a user's finger applies a user force to the lower arm assembly and displaces the lower arm assembly from a first to a second position, the upper and lower arm assemblies cooperate to engage the user's finger with a compressive force that is greater than the user force. In addition, the lancing mechanism is configured to lance a target site on the user's finger while the upper and lower arm assemblies are cooperating to engage the user's finger. Thereafter, the compressive force serves to extract a bodily fluid sample from the lanced target site.

    摘要: A teat unit for use when dispensing directly into the mouth from a fluid-containing disposable package of a thin sheet-shaped plastic or cardboard material. The teat unit includes an upwardly extending teat part, an intermediate radial flange and a downwardly extending insertion part. The insertion part has structure for holding the teat unit in position during dispensing with the radial flange having a downwardly facing side in engagement with the top side of the package, and structure for puncturing the top side of the package through an exposed opening in the top side of the package. The radial flange is shaped as a cover plate having substantially the same extent as the area of the top side of the package for the package size with which the teat unit is to be used, and the holding structure is adapted to hold the cover plate to bear against the top side of the package and to hold the top side of the package in direct sealing engagement with the downwardly facing side of the cover plate.
