    Abstract: Example computing devices are disclosed that include a first housing member rotatably coupled to a second housing member at a hinge. In addition, the computing devices include a display including first and second ends disposed on first and second sides of the hinge, respectively. Further, the computing devices include a first magnet disposed within the first housing member, and a controller disposed within the housing. The controller is coupled to the first magnet and is to actuate the first magnet to generate a magnetic field based on a position of the first housing member relative to the second housing member about the hinge. Additionally, the magnetic field is to attract or repel the first end of the display to translate the first end of the display relative to the hinge within the first housing member.

    Abstract: Contextual zooming includes determining an area of interest on a display screen based on eye-tracking of a user. The area of interest may be represented as a set of coordinate points of a display signal. Contextual zooming also includes determining that a distance between the user and the display screen changes by a threshold amount. Scaling the display signal to expand the set of coordinate points on the display screen causes the area of interest to zoom.

    Abstract: A technique includes detecting a finger pattern that is associated with a physical interaction of a user with a touch screen of an electronic device. The technique includes acquiring sensory input that is associated with the user other than a characteristic of the physical interaction of the user with the touch screen. The technique includes determining whether the physical interaction is associated with an intent to use the touchscreen for key-based input entry based at least in part on the sensory input and controlling a user interface for the electronic device based at least in part on the detected finger pattern and the determined intent.

    Abstract: A first processing unit provides a first input. The first processing unit has a first architecture on which a first operating system is run having a first operating environment in which first applications are run. A switching unit selects both the first and a second input in a combined input mode. The second input is provided by a second processing unit having a second architecture in which a second operating system is run having a second operating environment in which second applications are run. A scaler combines the first and second inputs into an orientation comprising a full screen of the first operating environment and a window of the second operating environment, where the window of the second operating environment is overlaid into the full screen of the first operating environment. The scaler transmits the combined first and second inputs to a display unit for display on a screen.

    Abstract: A disclosed example method to display information from a computer system includes: accessing peripheral display information in a designated peripheral display area of a frame buffer memory in response to detecting a presence of the peripheral display information, the designated peripheral display area being a subarea of the frame buffer memory, the sub-area covering less than an entirety of a main screen of a monitor; displaying, via a peripheral information display device, the peripheral display information from the designated peripheral display area of the frame buffer memory, the peripheral information display device being separate from the main screen; determining user input coordinates based on a user interaction with the peripheral display information; updating the peripheral display information from a computer to the frame buffer memory; and displaying the updated peripheral display information from the designated peripheral display area of the frame buffer memory via the peripheral information display device.

    Abstract: According to an example of the present disclosure, an image collection is loaded. At least one image property of the image collection is randomized, and the image collection is displayed. A registered sequence of images is accessed. At least one eye gaze and at least one eye gaze time interval are captured. A selection sequence of images in the randomized image collection is determined based on the at least one eye gaze and the at least one eye gaze time interval, and a further determination is made as to whether the selection sequence of the images in the randomized image collection matches the registered sequence of images.
