    摘要: Disclosed is a release material applied to a sheet material that provides for temporary repositioning of an adhesive over the release material. Over time the adhesion between the release material and the applied adhesive builds such that the adhesive cannot be removed from the release material without damaging the underlying sheet material. The release material includes an free nitrogen containing basic group. The release material is dispersed on a flexible substrate and the release material allows for repositioning when contacted with a pressure sensitive adhesive, which includes a free carboxylic acid group, for at least 1 minute and not more than 10 minutes.

    摘要: An adhesive tape comprising a backing and a layer of adhesive on the backing. The backing comprises a biaxially oriented substrate which comprises an isotactic polypropylene composition. The tapes and backings of this invention can be severed readily using commercial tape dispensers having metal or plastic cutting teeth to produce cleanly serrated cut edges on the tape. The biaxially oriented substrate is preferably made from a resin comprising an isotactic polypropylene homopolymer having a melt flow rate greater than 8 grams/10 minutes, more preferably greater than 12 grams/10 minutes, and still more preferably greater than about 20 grams/10 minutes. One preferred way to obtain such a resin is to blend: A) at least one isotactic polypropylene homopolymer “A” having a weight average molecular weight of at least 350,000 grams/mole and melt a flow rate of about 0.5–8 grams/10 minutes, more preferably about 0.5–5 grams/10 minutes; with B) at least one isotactic polypropylene homopolymer “B” having a weight average molecular weight of at least 100,000 grams/mole and a melt flow rate greater than 8 grams/10 minutes, and preferably greater than about 20 grams/10 minutes, and more preferably greater than about 50 grams/10 minutes.

The backing is biaxially stretched so as to provide a film having any one or a combination of the following preferred characteristics: A. Puncture elongation up to about 1.3 cm when 2.54 cm wide samples are tested by the method set out herein, or up to 2.0 cm when 1.27 cm wide samples are tested by the method set out herein. C. Tensile strength up to 140 MPa in the MD. In a preferred embodiment, the second component comprises polyethylene, polybutylene, or syndiotactic polypropylene.
