摘要: A dental appliance for positioning a patient's teeth includes a removable orthodontic tooth positioning appliance having teeth receiving cavities shaped to directly receive at least some of the patient's teeth and apply a resilient positioning force to the patient's teeth. The appliance includes a hard polymer layer having a hard polymer layer elastic modulus disposed between a first soft polymer layer having a first soft polymer layer elastic modulus and a second soft polymer layer having a second soft polymer layer elastic modulus. The hard polymer layer elastic modulus is greater than each of the first soft polymer layer elastic modulus and the second soft polymer layer elastic modulus. At least one of the first soft polymer layer and the second soft polymer layer has a flexural modulus of greater than about 35,000 psi.

摘要: A lighting unit which includes a multilayer body and at least a first light emitting diode (LED) light source. The multilayer body includes, in sequence, a carrier layer of a black or gray translucent thermoplastic composition, a stone layer with an average thickness of 2 mm of less, and a transparent thermoplastic layer with an average thickness of 1 mm to 6 mm. The LED light source is disposed facing at least one lateral edge of the transparent thermoplastic layer, such that light from the LED light source is guided within the transparent thermoplastic layer.

The method may include providing a base layer, wherein the base layer is resistant to one or more of water or oxygen; coextruding a tie layer and a contact layer to provide a coextrusion layer; coating the coextrusion layer to the base layer; allowing the coextrusion layer coated to the base layer to adhere to form the film, wherein the film comprises the tie layer and the contact layer formed as a coextrusion layer coated to the base layer; wherein the tie layer comprises one or more layers, and wherein the tie layer, or the one or more layers of the tie layer, has a loading in the range of 7 to 20 g/m2; wherein the contact layer comprises a cycloolefin copolymer (COC).

摘要: The present disclosure provides fluidic devices. A fluidic device includes a) a first bondable polymeric layer having a first major surface that is substantially planar; b) a second polymeric layer having a first major surface that is substantially planar; and c) a hydrophilic mask material disposed on a first portion of the first major surface of the first bondable polymeric layer. A surface of the hydrophilic mask material exhibits an advancing contact angle with water of less than 90 degrees. A second portion of the first major surface of the first bondable polymeric layer is bonded to a first portion of the first major surface of the second polymeric layer. The hydrophilic mask material and a second portion of the first major surface of the second polymeric layer are in direct contact with each other at at least one point. An open volume is defined by interstitial space located between the hydrophilic mask material and the second portion of the first major surface of the second polymeric layer. The open volume comprises two or more openings and at least one of the openings is located at an edge of the first bondable polymeric layer. The fluidic devices can be formed to have small volumes for use as precision fluidic devices, such as blood glucose testing strips.

The area Amax (nm·%) of the largest region among regions enclosed by the transmission spectrum X and the transmission spectrum Y is 150 to 1500.

摘要: A semi-rigid polypropylene floorboard includes a polypropylene wear-resistant layer, a polypropylene decorative layer, an adhesive layer, a polypropylene substrate layer and an enhancement layer arranged from top to bottom in sequence. The adhesive layer is made of a maleic acid-modified polypropylene resin, and a thickness of the adhesive layer is 0.05 mm-0.2 mm. The enhancement layer is made of a modified polypropylene fiber. A preparation of the semi-rigid polypropylene floorboard is also provided, in which the polypropylene wear-resistant layer, the polypropylene decorative layer, the adhesive layer, the polypropylene substrate layer and the enhancement layer are subjected to hot-pressing lamination, tempering, punching and trimming to obtain the desired product.

摘要: The present invention provides a biodegradable multilayer film, a manufacturing method therefor, and an eco-friendly packaging material containing same, the biodegradable multilayer film comprising a base layer and a biodegradable resin layer, wherein the biodegradable resin layer includes a polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) resin, and the thermal bonding strength of the biodegradable resin layer is 0.5 kgf/15 mm to 15 kgf/15 mm, the water permeability is 3 g/m2·atm·day or less, and the oxygen permeability is 10 cc/m2·atm·day or less. The biodegradable multilayer film can be biodegraded in natural conditions such as in soil and in the ocean, can improve barrier properties against moisture and oxygen without including aluminum or nylon materials, and can further improve adhesive properties. As such, the biodegradable multilayer film can be used as a packaging material in various fields such that a high-quality and eco-friendly packaging material is provided.
