Abstract:
A sheet guide in a feeder of a sheet-fed printing press has lateral guide plates for upper sheets of a sheet pile for laterally aligning the upper sheets with one sheet edge, and at least one deformable leaf spring located at a side of the sheet pile opposite to the side thereof at which the aligned sheet edge is disposed and acting by spring force against the upper sheets transversely to a sheet-feeding direction of the upper sheets of the sheet pile, the leaf spring being re-deformable counter to the spring force to behind a surface of the guide plate.
Abstract:
Device for facilitating sheet separation in an upper region of a feeder pile, whereat a separating device is disposed for removing a respective uppermost sheet from the pile and feeding it to a further processing unit, includes a turnable bushing having a guide, and a blower having a vertically adjustable blower body mounted with preloading on the turnable bushing.
Abstract:
A method of feeding, aligning and holding a sheet on a cylinder of a sheet-processing machine, which includes, prior to an occurrence of a gripping operation on a sheet at a cylinder of a sheet-processing machine, forcing a leading edge of the sheet into a contact position wherein the leading edge of the sheet is pressed against moving front lays which are guided over the cylinder, opening sheet grippers carried by the cylinder, inserting the leading edge of the sheet which is in the contact position into the sheet grippers, and maintaining the leading edge of the sheet in the contact position with the front lays until just before closing the sheet grippers; and a device for performing the method.
Abstract:
A ball bearing in a conveyor device for sheets includes ball guide bodies having ball guide openings formed therein. Balls are to be disposed in the openings. The ball guide bodies have lateral contact slits formed therein through which the balls can be removed and replaced through the ball guide openings by contact with the balls from the outside.
Abstract:
A sealing device for a dampening unit on an offset printing press having a channel for receiving a dampening-solution supply and defined by a dampening-solution applicator roller and a metering roller which roll on one another, and having a seal holder mountable on a side part of the dampening unit and being in contact engagement with a sealing element, closing off one end of the channel, the sealing element having formed with an overflow opening for excess dampening solution, comprising a drain passage located between the sealing element and the seal holder and formed by a cutout on a side of the sealing element facing away from the channel, the cutout being connected with the overflow opening.
