摘要: A steering system for a vehicle having front and rear wheels. The steering system includes a steering wheel, a front wheel steering sub-system for steering the front wheels in accordance with the steering angle of the steering wheel, an angle take-out mechanism for taking out from the front wheel steering sub-system an angular displacement according to the steering of the steering wheel, and a pair of rear wheel turning mechanisms for respectively turning the rear wheels in accordance with two linear displacements, respectively, substantially in the transverse direction of the vehicle. Further, the steering system is provided with a function generating mechanism for generating a compound function of the angular displacement to determine the linear displacements.Favorable accommodation is achieved with respect to the peculiarity of the rear wheel steering.

摘要: A vehicular steering system including a steering wheel, a front wheel steering mechanism for steering a front wheel according to steering amounts of the steering wheel, and a rear wheel steering mechanism for steering a rear wheel according to such steering amounts in the same direction as that of the front wheel when such steering amounts are relatively small and in a direction opposite to the steering direction of the front wheel when such steering amounts are relatively large. The rear wheel steering mechanism includes a crank member connected to the steering wheel, a movable member connected to the crank member, a restriction mechanism for restraining the movable member and permitting the latter to perform only restricted movements along a predetermined pattern, and an output mechanism interconnecting the movable member and the rear wheel for effecting the steering of the rear wheel according to components of motion in a predetermined direction of such restricted movements.The steering system is capable of steering front and rear wheels in the same direction in response to relatively small steering amounts of a steering wheel and in opposite directions in response to relatively large steering amounts of the steering wheel, and is provided in a compact construction.

摘要: A steering system for a vehicle including steerable front and rear wheels. The steering system comprises a steering wheel; a front wheel steering mechanism for steering the front wheels in accordance with a rotating movement of the steering wheel; a movement transmission mechanism for converting the rotating movement of the steering wheel into, and rearwardly transmitting, a push-pull movement and outputting same in the form of a transverse movement; and a rear wheel steering mechanism for steering the rear wheels in accordance with the transverse movement. The steering system is particularly advantageous with respect to design flexibility and manufacture.

摘要: A steering device for a vehicle provided with a steering wheel, front wheels and a front wheel steering mechanism, rear wheels and a rear wheel steering mechanism, a pair of rear wheel steering tie rods for respectively connecting the rear wheels to the rear wheel steering mechanism, and an operating shaft which connects the front and rear wheel steering mechanisms, the rear wheels being steered along with the front wheels in response to steering operation of the steering wheels. The rear wheel steering mechanism of the steering device comprises a plurality of rotary members operatively cooperating so as to rotate together, with the operating shaft being connected to the rotational center of one of the rotary members and the inner ends of the tie rods being connected to two of the rotary members at positions displaced from the rotational center, respectively. With such device, the rear wheels are rotated in the same direction as that of the front wheels under rotation of the rotary members during low steering angle operation of the steering wheel, and during large steering angle operation of the steering wheel the rear wheels are steered in a direction opposite to that of the front wheels or the steering angle of the rear wheels is reset to zero or near zero. The rear wheel steering mechanism is constructed so as to be very compact, and with high mechanical strength.

摘要: An electrical connector device comprises at least one first conductor fixed to a first insulator, at least one second conductor fixed to a second insulator which is angularly movable with respect to the first insulator, a third conductor in the form of a flexible wire which is disposed between the first and second insulators and which is at least partially loose, first and second contact members electrically connected to ends of the third conductor and to the first and second conductors, a third insulator angularly movable with respect to the first and second insulators, the second contact member being fixed to the third insulator, and a guide mechanism for guiding the second and third insulators to move angularly in the same direction. The electrical connector device allows desired rotation between relatively movable members in an electrical system while maintaining electrical connection therebetween by using the loosely disposed conductor.

摘要: A steering apparatus for vehicles which includes a pinion rotatably mounted on an arm movable longitudinally in response to turning movement of a steering wheel, and a pair of longitudinally movable racks held in meshing engagement with the pinion. One of the racks is operatively coupled with front wheels of the vehicle and with a pivot arm pivotable on a movable pivot which is displaceable along the pivot arm in response to vehicle speeds. The other rack is coupled through a pivotable lever with an arm which is pivotally mounted on the pivot arm and is operatively coupled with the rear wheels. When the steering wheel is turned, the front and rear wheels are turned in the same direction or in opposite directions, depending on the position of the movable pivot on the pivot arm, which position is a function of the vehicle speed. The front and rear wheels are turned in the same direction when the vehicle is running at a high speed, and in opposite directions when the vehicle is running at a low speed. The racks and pinion may be dispensed with and the front wheels operatively coupled only through a connecting rod pivotally connected to a pivot arm pivotally mounted on a movable pivot, the rear wheels being pivotally connected through an arm to the pivot arm.
