    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a 5G or pre-5G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate than a 4G communication system such as long-term evolution (LTE). A method performed by a first terminal in a wireless communication system supporting sidelink is provided. The method comprises receiving from at least one second terminal location information of the second terminal and reliability information for the location information of the second terminal, selecting at least one second terminal to be used for location measurement of the first terminal based on the reliability information, and determining a location of the first terminal based location information of at least one second terminal selected based on the reliability information.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication method and its system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting a higher data rate than a 4th-Generation (4G) system with an Internet of things (IoT) technology. According to various embodiments of the present disclosure, an operating method of a base station, in a wireless communication system, may include performing a channel access procedure in an unlicensed band, obtaining a transmission result of a downlink signal for a reference slot based on the channel access procedure, and determining a size of a contention section for a next channel access procedure, based on the transmission result, and the reference slot may be a starting slot in downlink transmission by the base station.
