Abstract:
A recording method includes heating a recording medium and attaching an ink composition including an organic solvent and water to the heated recording medium by performing a main scanning a plurality of times. In each main scanning the ink composition is ejected from a recording head while a position of the recording head relative to the recording medium in a main scanning direction is changed. In the ink composition, an absolute value of a difference between a surface tension of the ink composition and a surface tension of the ink composition when the ink composition is evaporated up to an evaporation amount of 0% to 40% by mass is 1 mN/m or less.
Abstract:
An ink jet recording method is provided for recording white and non-white ink compositions onto a moving recording medium. The recording medium includes a first region where both the white and non-white ink compositions are adhered, and a second region where only the white ink composition is adhered. Further, one or both of Conditions (i) and (ii) is satisfied. Condition (i): The amount of the white ink composition adhered in the first region is less than the amount of the white ink composition adhered in the second region. Condition (ii): The number of times the white ink composition is scanned across the first region is less than the number of times the white ink composition is scanned across in the second region.
Abstract:
An ink set includes a reaction liquid containing coagulant; a first ink containing a color material; and a second ink containing a color material. The ink set is used for recording on a non-absorptive recording medium or a low-absorptive recording medium and for imparting the reaction liquid, the first ink, and the second ink to the recording medium in a superimposed manner in this order.
Abstract:
According to the invention, there is provided a recording method which includes discharging and adhering a reaction liquid to an ink non-absorbable or ink low-absorbable recording medium in a form of a droplet, by using an ink jet method, the reaction liquid containing a reagent for aggregating or thickening of a colored ink composition, so as to have a content of 0.1 mol/kg to 0.9 mol/kg, and the reaction liquid having an adhering amount which is set to be equal to or smaller than 1.9 mg/inch2, and adhering a colored ink composition to the recording medium to which the reaction liquid has adhered. A period from when adhering of the reaction liquid is ended until adhering of the colored ink composition is started is within 30 seconds. A surface temperature of the recording medium from the adhering of the reaction liquid to the adhering of the colored ink composition is equal to or lower than 38° C.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a recording method including recording which includes attaching a color ink composition, which contains a coloring material, and a reaction solution, which includes an aggregating agent which aggregates components of the color ink composition, to a recording medium in no particular order, in which the color ink composition gives recorded matter with a glossiness at 60° of 60 to 100 when the color ink composition is individually attached to a recording medium with a glossiness at 60° of 80 to 100.
Abstract:
According to the invention, there is provided a recording method which includes adhering an ink composition to a recording medium, and adhering a reaction liquid to the recording medium, the reaction liquid containing water and a reagent for aggregating or thickening components of the ink composition, and having a pH of 7 to 10. In the adhering of the reaction liquid, an epoxy-based adhesive is used for at least a portion of a reaction liquid passage for supplying the reaction liquid to an ink jet head, and a member in contact with the reaction liquid in the ink jet head, and the reaction liquid is discharged from the ink jet head so as to adhere to the recording medium.
Abstract:
There is provided an image recording method including modifying a surface to set a wetting tension index of a recording surface to 40 mN/m or more by carrying out a surface modification of the recording surface of an ink low-absorbing or non-absorbing recording medium, adhering a reaction liquid containing a flocculant to the recording surface after the modifying of the surface, and recording an image on the recording surface using an ink composition for ink jet recording containing a color material and water after the adhering of the reaction liquid.
Abstract:
Printed matter, in which an image is recorded on a clear film with a white ink containing a white coloring material and at least one urethane resin as a resin fixative and having a degree of white shielding of 50 or more.
