    摘要: A flexible garment bag of the type which can be hung or held vertically or which can be folded transversely midway between the ends and carried by a handle like a suitcase. The front of the bag has an access panel attached at the bottom by a fold to allow it to be moved to open position. Detachable connections allow the access panel to be closed. When closed, a handle on the outside of the access panel allows the bag to be carried like a suitcase. Unlike other designs which put the handle on the back panel, this arrangement permits suits to be loaded in the usual way, but when the bag is folded the suits are folded with the lapels up instead of down, thus limiting wrinkling. A rigid folding bar in the back panel of the bag facilitates folding of the bag and the hanging garments in the bag. In addition, corner pockets are located near the clothes hangers to assist in holding the clothes in place, criss-cross straps are provided for the same purpose, and straps at the bottom of the bag hold long garments in place. Further, the bag hanging hook extending from the top of the bag can be adjustably positioned to hold the bag in folded position.

    摘要: Disclosed is a method and system for compressing and automatically expanding an expandable luggage case 2 comprising a ratchet mechanism 8 and a bungee cord 32, that is used to bias a locking mechanism, in the form of detents 54 that mate with teeth 44, in a locked position, and to bias a jack mechanism 14 for automatic expansion. The bungee cord 32 biases the ratchet compressor system 8 in an expanded state. Thus, automatic expansion is achieved, in a very easy to use manner. In addition to being operated while the luggage case 2 is open, the ratchet compressor 8 is also operable from the outside of the luggage case 2 once the luggage case 2 has been packed and closed. A user may then compress the luggage case 2 simply by applying pressure to the lid 24. The ratchet compressor system 8 therefore provides a zipper-less, automated method of expanding a luggage case 2 as well as compressing the luggage case 2 once the luggage case 2 has been closed.

The ventable capping and priming assembly includes a capping member including a sealing member for sealing engagement with the nozzle face of the ink jet printhead, and a capping member mounted to the capping member and including a priming recess and a vacuum path formed therein. Further, the ventable capping and priming assembly includes a venting path formed from an outside surface of the capping member, and through the capping member, into the priming recess for venting the nozzle face of the ink jet printhead being capped, thereby relieving the nozzle face of the ink jet printhead of defect causing capping pressures during non-priming periods.

    摘要: A storage container for temporarily storing an ink jet printhead cartridge during periods of non-use, the container including an improved nozzle capping mechanism which permits a variable range of forces to be applied to obtain the necessary sealing. The membrane is characterized by having, on one surface, a ribbed section which encircles the nozzle area to form a sealing perimeter. The other surface of the membrane has a shallow recess formed beneath the ribbed section, the recess providing for inward deflection along the ribbed area, the ribbed section maintaining an effective seal throughout a deflectable range. The arrangement solves a prior art problem of membrane buckling when excessive force is applied.
