摘要: A trip unit includes a current sensor to sense a value of current flowing through a conductor, a circuit to receive first frequency pulses having a number of first frequencies from the conductor, a transmitter to transmit second frequency pulses having a second frequency different than the first frequencies to the conductor, and a processor having a routine. The routine inputs the sensed value of current from the current sensor, determines if the sensed value of current exceeds a predetermined value and responsively causes the transmitter to transmit the second frequency pulses having the second frequency to the conductor, monitors within a predetermined time after determining that the sensed value of current exceeds the predetermined value if a number of the first frequency pulses having the number of first frequencies is received by the circuit, and responsively delays outputting a trip signal, and, otherwise, immediately outputs the trip signal.

摘要: A differential absorption spectrum for a reactive gas in a gas mixture can be generated for sample absorption data by subtracting background absorption data set from the sample absorption data. The background absorption data can be characteristic of absorption characteristics of the background composition in a laser light scan range that includes a target wavelength. The differential absorption spectrum can be converted to a measured concentration of the reactive gas using calibration data. A determination can be made whether the background composition has substantially changed relative to the background absorption data, and new background absorption data can be used if the background composition has substantially changed. Related systems, apparatus, methods, and/or articles are also described.

摘要: A system, method, and computer-readable medium for optimizing join operations in a parallel processing system are provided. A respective set of rows of a first table and a second table involved in a join operation are distributed to each of a plurality of processing modules. The join operation comprises a join on a first column of the first table and a second column of the second table. Each of the plurality of processing modules redistributes at least a portion of the rows of the first table distributed thereto substantially equally among the other processing modules and duplicates at least a portion of the rows of the second table distributed thereto among the plurality of processing modules. The disclosed optimization mechanisms provide for reduced spool space requirements for execution of the parallel join operation.

摘要: Examples of the present invention include high electric energy density polymer film capacitors with high dielectric constant, low dielectric dissipation tangent, and low leakage current in a broad temperature range. More particularly, examples include a polymer film capacitor in which the dielectric layer comprise a copolymer of a first monomer (such as tetrafluoroethylene) and a second polar monomer. The second monomer component may be selected from vinylidene fluoride, trifluoroethylene or their mixtures, and optionally other monomers may be included to adjust the mechanical performance. The capacitors can be made by winding metallized films, plain films with metal foils, or hybrid construction where the films comprise the new compositions. The capacitors can be used in DC bus capacitors and energy storage capacitors in pulsed power systems.
