摘要： In a slip sheet insertion-delivery apparatus, a plurality of printing sheet grippers opposite to some of a plurality of gripper pads mounted on a gripper pad shaft and slip sheet grippers opposite to the remaining gripper pads are mounted on one gripper shaft. The slip sheet grippers are loosely fitted on the gripper shaft through corresponding torsion springs. A cam mechanism is arranged to simultaneously open/close the printing and slip sheet grippers near a cylinder. Another cam mechanism including a plurality of cams is arranged to simultaneously open/close only the slip sheet grippers at a slip sheet insertion position.

摘要： A cylinder apparatus of a sheet-fed rotary printing press having grippers which are pivotally supported inside a notch in a blanket cylinder brought into rolling contact with a plate cylinder and which is located in a vicinity of the leading edge of a printing plate on the plate cylinder, wherein phases of rotation of the plate and blanket cylinders are arranged such that the leading edge of the printing plate opposes a front end of the notch formed in the blanket cylinder which is located at a slightly advanced position with respect to a leading edge of the blanket, and a cam surface of a cam for opening/closing the grippers is shaped in such a manner that the grippers are kept opened when the leading edge of the printing plate opposes the front end of the notch formed in the blanket cylinder.

摘要： A inking apparatus includes form rollers brought into rolling contact with vibrating rollers. Each form roller includes a rotatable roller shaft whose axial movement is limited, and a roller body fitted on the roller shaft. Right and left vibration stroke adjusting screws are threadably engaged with male screws at both ends of the roller shaft and are movable in an axial direction of the roller shaft. Compression coil springs are compressed between the right vibration stroke adjusting screw and one of both the ends of the roller body and between the left vibration stroke adjusting screw and the other end of the both ends of the roller body. The compression coil springs define a vibration stroke by positions where the compression coil springs are completely compressed.

摘要： In a method and system of measuring an image area, a solid portion corresponding to a portion having a 100% dot ratio in offset printing is formed in a margin of a printing plate, and a blank portion corresponding to a portion having a 0% dot ratio in offset printing is also formed in the margin of the printing plate. Electrical signals obtained from the solid and blank portions are used as reference values for 100% and 0% dot ratios, respectively. Electrical signals obtained from an image bearing portion of the printing plate are converted to image area percentage data in accordance with these reference values irrespective of a nonuniform surface density of the printing plate.

摘要： Substantially triangular shaped register marks are applied to respective plate cylinders of a multicolor printing machine. Each register mark is made up of a first side extending laterally of axial direction of a plate cylinder and a second inclined side extending downwardly to an end of the first side. Rotation of register marks is detected by a photoelectric detector and a rotary encoder rotating in synchronism with respective plate cylinders generates a reference pulse and a rotation pulse having a shorter period than the reference pulse. Based on the reference pulse, the rotation pulse and an output of the photoelectric detector, a leading edge time difference signal and a trailing edge time difference signal are formed and then integrated by integrators. In response to outputs of the integrators the peripheral direction and the lateral direction of the respective plate cylinders are adjusted. According to this invention in spite of contamination of register marks they can be detected accurately, and irrespective of peculiar rotation of a printing machine stable and accurate adjustment of the register can be made before commencing printing operation.
