Abstract:
An improved transparent template and positioning device for aligning material to be stitched, marked or cut, the template including two overlapping lines with one or more being translucent and one or more using fluorescent pigment that will overlap their colors to create a third color forming an outline or “halo” effect of enhanced visibility, enabling the darker more precise opaque lines on the ruler to be easily seen or found on light and dark materials. The translucent lines will allow the user to see through the template to the actual material that he or she is working with in order to provide improved viewing and more accurate alignment.
Abstract:
A combined template and ruler for use in quilting is formed from a rigid plastic material and includes a plurality of spaced slots that correspond to cutting and sewing lines that are marked on layers of fabric using the template. The cutting and sewing lines are positioned such that a plurality of half square triangles of two ply material are formed without cutting the thread. A template and method of forming snowball blocks in a similar fashion is also disclosed.

Abstract:
A coloring book for method is provided creating a detailed master picture in a hinged stencil book with the steps of: folding the master page in between each stencil then coloring each stencil page color onto the master page. When all colors or pages are colored the master page will have a completed detailed picture.
Abstract:
A template for assisting a person with drawing and cutting two-dimensional shapes is disclosed. In one embodiment the template is a substantially planar member spaced apart surfaces. The template is formed in a selected shape having a handle disposed on one surface and a skid-resistant member disposed on an opposite surface. The handle and the skid-resistant member facilitate holding the template stationary in respect of a writing surface while tracing the shape of the template. In another embodiment the template includes two members formed in substantially matching shapes. A plurality of magnets is employed to secure the two members in substantial alignment having a material disposed therebetween. The outer edges of the two members provide a guide for cutting a piece of the material in a shape conforming to the shape of the template.
Abstract:
A template for mounting a plurality of different of irrigation controllers models in accordance with one embodiment comprising a template support body; and a plurality of sets of apertures in said template support body, the plurality of sets of apertures corresponding to locations for fastening mounting supports to a mounting structure, each of the set of apertures corresponding to a different model irrigation controller.
Abstract:
In one embodiment of the invention, photo-chromic toys are disclosed. A photo-chromic toy includes a photo-chromic material such as a photo-chromic ink, paint, plastic, or dye. The photo-chromic material may be supplied in a material of the toy or applied to a surface of the toy at the factory. The photo-chromic material may be activated in various ways with various light activating devices that can generate the activating light with appropriate wavelengths.
Abstract:
A stencil for cutting sandpaper and it is formed from a sheet of plastic transparent plastic material having four corner lips extending down from the corners of the sheet. These corner lips have inner edges that define a rectangular recess for receiving a stack of standard sized sheets of sandpaper. Linear slots and arcuate slots in the stencil allow the sandpaper to be cut into two equal parts, three equal parts, four equal parts or circular disks having 6, 7, and 8 inch diameters.
Abstract:
A scriptwriting guidance device for use by individuals who are visually or otherwise impaired, the device acting to guide the writer's pen or other writing implement along a straight, horizontal path across a writing surface to form complete letters and other characters without interference from the device. The device includes a backboard having a shaft mounted for rotation adjacent one side edge thereof. Slidable along the shaft in incremental steps is a slide from whereby is cantilevered a guide element formed by a rectangular frame that overlies a paper sheet lying on the backboard. Disposed within the window of the frame is a rectangular template of smaller dimensions, the template having a narrow slot that defines a straight, horizontal path. The opposite ends of the template are coupled by springs to the corresponding ends of the frame whereby the template effectively floats within the window and is free to shift laterally. The writer's implement is inserted through the slot to engage the paper sheet, and as the writer forms letters, numbers and other characters along the straight path, the template shifts laterally within the window to permit completion of these characters.
