    摘要： A Beach Mat with built-in Adjustable Sun Shade is described. The head of the mat contains elastic stays. These elastic stays permit the head of the mat to be shaped into an arc with the help of strings. Said arc becomes a sun shade. On relief of the tension of the stays by releasing the strings, the mat may be rolled into a small cylinder for transportation and storage.

    摘要： Apparatus for use in sunbathing comprises a screen formed of a sheet of thermoplastic material which is transparent to the safe UV-A wavelengths of solar radiation but which contains uniformly distributed therethrough a first agent whcih absorbs at least 80% of the UV-B radiation in the 290-320 nm range and a second agent which prevents transmission therethrough of some radiations above 450 nm wavelength, i.e. visible light and infra-red. The screen may be mounted on a frame so as to shield the sunbather from the harmful wavelength of radiation, prevent unpleasant overheating and provide subdued lighting. The second agent may be an absorbing dye or pigment.

    摘要： A portable screen of fabric is held upright by a plurality of hollow poles clamped to the fabric by C clamps, preferably one the length of the pole. A stake is telescoped within each hollow pole, and held in an extended position (to adjust the height of the screen) by the friction of a resilient sleeve near the top of the stake, and additionally by a C clamp around the stake adjusted up against the pole. Straps are provided to secure the screen in a rolled up condition, and to carry the rolled up screen.

The post is comprised of a plurality of rods and a clamp secures the rods. The adjoining rods define channels and the clamp includes projections which extend into the channels. Fittings are secured to the upper ends of the rod of the post and the frame is secured to the fittings. Fittings are further secured to the frame by dowel-like members.

    摘要： An awning type sunshade particularly for beaches, gardens and the like, comprising a supporting frame associated with a support member. At an intermediate point of the supporting frame the ends of a pair of telescoping arms are articulated. At their other ends, the arms are connected with the ends of a front member which is movable with respect to the supporting frame. The arms are pivotable at an intermediate point about a substantially perpendicular axis with respect to the front member direction of movement. The end of an awning is connected with the front member. The awning is connected at the other end thereof, with a take-up roller rotatably supported by the supporting frame. A means is provided for blocking or locking the rotation of the arms and/or the telescoping movement thereof.
