摘要： A top-loading pad mount electrical connector is provided with swing-away pressure pads for securing secondary conductors to the connector body. The swing-away pressure pads are frictionally engaged with threaded fasteners to pivot with the fastener between a clamping position where a jaw is aligned with and over a conductor lay-in groove and an open position which clears a conductor lay-in opening above the lay-in groove. A split insulating cover permits the top-loading pad mount connector to be installed and the connections with secondary conductors established prior to electrically insulating the assembly to ensure code compliance.

摘要： A device for grounding a transmission line having a diameter and an outer portion partially removed, revealing an exposed section. The grounding device includes an insert connected to the exposed section of the transmission line. A contact mechanism is included on the grounding device and electrically connects the exposed section of the transmission line. The contact mechanism automatically adjusts to fit the diameter of the transmission line, so that an electrical contact may be maintained with transmission lines having a variety of diameters. The device also includes a grounding line coupled to the insert, thus, providing a ground for the transmission line.

摘要： A universal ground clamp for connecting a ground wire to a grounding electrode of various diameters having a thin insulating layer without damaging the grounding electrode. The universal ground clamp having an elongated strap that wraps and is secured around the grounding electrode. A first end of the strap has an abrasive outer surface. A fastener frictionally engages against the first end in a direction normal to the grounding electrode, causing the abrasive outer surface to intimately contact the grounding electrode. In a preferred embodiment, the universal ground clamp further comprises a U-shaped bracket which has a first leg having an opening registered with a threaded opening of a second leg. A second end of the strap has a plurality of longitudinally spaced apertures, one of which is aligned between the openings of the first and second legs. A bolt is threadably couplable with the threaded opening and passable through an aperture of the second end of the strap and the opening of the first leg. An electrical coupling device connects the ground wire to the universal ground clamp. The bolt is oriented perpendicular to the first end to permit the bolt to frictionally engage the the first end normal to the grounding electrode and thereby force the outer abrasive surface of the first end of the strap to intimately contact the grounding electrode.
