摘要： A boot scraper of novel design and shape and incorporating a novel boot scraping surface that can be mounted to, or incorporated in, skiing implements such as skis and snowboards, as well as ski boot bindings, snowboard boot bindings, and ski boots and snowboard boots. In one embodiment, the boot scraper comprises an elongated polygonal molded rigid ABS plastic block that is mounted to the top surface of a ski. The block is mounted to the ski by an adhesive or by mechanical fasteners such as screws. The top surface of the boot scraper incorporates a two-dimensional grid of adjacent polyhedrons extending in an upward direction. The tips of the polyhedrons form a scraping surface consisting of a multi-dimensional array of spaced, generally rigid pointed surfaces. The underside of the block contains hollowed out cavities that reduce weight but maintain strength and rigidity of the block. The scraper is used by drawing the sole of the ski boot to be cleaned over the scraper. The array of pointed surfaces forming the scraping surface quickly and omnidirectionally removes snow and foreign matter from the bottom of the boot.

摘要： Apparatus and method for buffing articles, such as leather goods, silverware and the like. The apparatus includes a flexible container for receiving an article to be buffed. The interior of the container has a buffing material therein and is of a size to permit relative movement of the article and the buffing material so that, when the container is moved about, such as in the drum of a clothes dryer, the article and the buffing material move continuously into frictional engagement with each other causing a buffing action to occur. Several embodiments of the container are disclosed. A clothes dryer can be used for moving the container. In the alternative, a coin operated drum can be provided.

摘要： A scouring pad is placed between two parallel rotating rollers mounted in a slot formed in the top of a platform. The lower surfaces of the rollers are wetted by a liquid detergent solution contained in a tank mounted below the platform. A shoe roller skate having a front pair and a rear pair of wheels is placed on the platform with one pair of wheels resting on the rollers and engaging the top of the scouring pad. The rollers rotate the skate wheels against the scouring pad, thereby removing dirt from the skate wheels by an abrading action. The liquid detergent is transferred from the rollers to the skate wheels and scouring pad, thereby enhancing the removal of the dirt from the skate wheels.
