摘要： A window panel position regulating means for a vehicle door which will accommodate a doubly irregularly curved window panel and will guide the window panel through the slot at the belt line of the door in such a manner that the width of the belt line slot can be maintained at absolute minimum so as to improve the oveall appearance of the door assembly and the functional rigidity of the assembly. The regulating assembly includes a pair of guide channel members mounted within the door panel cavity at the front edge of the door and a third guide channel member mounted within the door panel cavity at the rear edge of the door. Guide follower members are mounted to the window and guided within the respective guide channel members to thereby guide the window through the belt line slot. Each guide channel member is generally curved in the direction of the curve of the window panel and has a substantially continuously variable rate of curvature distinct from that of any other guide channel member to provide that the window panel will be continuously pivoted about several axes as it is raised and lowered to allow it to pass through the belt line slot of minimum width.

摘要： A rear side door structure for four-door type automobiles including a rear door panel having an upper hem which defines a lower edge of a window opening, a guide member extending upwardly from the upper hem of the door panel to divide the window opening into a front opening portion and rear opening portion, a front glass panel fitted to the front opening portion, a rear glass panel disposed in the rear opening portion for movement along the guide member. The guide member is inclined rearwardly so that the rear glass panel is shifted forwardly when it is moved downwardly. According to this arrangement, the rear glass panel can be retracted into the door panel without any interference with the cut-off portion which is normally provided in the door panel at the rear lower portion for avoiding the rear tire house.

摘要： A stabilizer linkage stabilizes a raised window against pitch movement about an axis perpendicular to the window. A first roller attached to the vehicle window is movable within a track mounted vertically in a vehicle door to permit movement of the window between raised and lower positions. A stabilizer linkage includes an upper stabilizer link having one of its ends pivotally attached to the window in horizontally spaced relation from the first roller. A lower stabilizer link has one of its ends connected to the other end of the upper stabilizer link and its other end pivotally connected to the track by a second roller. A spring acting between the upper stabilizer link and lower stabilizer link urges the stabilizer linkage into a normal straight line relationship in which the vertical spacing between the first and second rollers is maximized to support and stabilize the window. A cam follower on the lower stabilizer link engages a cam mounted on the track as the window is lowered causing the lower stabilizer link to pivot about the second roller so that the stabilizer linkage is folded laterally of the vehicle to permit further lowering of the first roller and the window while the second roller remains substantially stationary.
