摘要： A reproduction apparatus comprises a rotatable drum having trained over its circumferential surface a length of finite belt that extends and is transportable back and forth between two supply reels inside the drum and is impressible with image information to be transferred to receiving material at a transfer station adjacent to the drum surface. During transport of the belt in either direction relative to the drum surface the drum is held at a peripheral velocity which depends upon the direction of the belt transport and, considering both magnitude and direction, is equal to a given processing velocity of the belt relative to the transfer station minus the velocity of transport of the belt over the drum surface. Thus, the transport of the belt relative to the transfer station is always in the same direction and of the same magnitude, whether the belt is being transported from one reel to the other or back from the other to the one reel.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a discharge rollers pair, a sheet pressing member and a discharge tray. The sheet pressing member includes a first rotational shaft, a detection piece and a corrugation piece. The corrugation piece protrudes in a radial direction different from a protruding direction of the detection piece from the first rotational shaft. When the detection piece is turned at a first angle into a first posture, the corrugation piece is changed into a contact posture where the corrugation piece comes into contact with the sheet to apply stiffness on the sheet. When the detection piece is turned at a second angle into a second posture, the corrugation piece is changed into a retracting posture where the corrugation piece separates from the sheet.

摘要： A system and method are provided for producing variable pearlescent image elements or portions on image receiving media substrates using a variable digital data offset lithographic architecture which provides for varying lithographic images between cycles of a marking device. Pearlescent inks are provided with a solid particle pearlescent pigment components in a proportion of at least 30% by weight suspended in solution in an ink composition. Pearlescent inks are provided with a solid particle pearlescent pigment components having particle sizes in excess of ten microns suspended in solution in the ink composition. The disclosed systems and methods provide for variable pearlescent image elements or portions to be formed on an image receiving medium substrate separate from, or in combination with, other ink image elements or portions applied using other inks in a single device, and/or in a single pass of the image receiving media substrates through an image forming system.
