摘要: A vehicle steering wheel includes a hoop, a plurality of presence sensors and an outer sheath. Each of the presence sensors is arranged so as to detect a proximity and/or contact between a user's limb and the hoop. The outer sheath covers the plurality of presence sensors and is stitched with at least one seam that extends around at least part of the hoop. The plurality of presence sensors is mounted on the same support, and at least one of the presence sensors is arranged facing at least part of the seam of the outer sheath.

摘要: A HVAC thermal conditioning system provides a macroclimate environment. An auxiliary thermal conditioning system has multiple microclimate devices in close proximity to a region of the occupant. The microclimate devices are arranged within an interior space that provides the macroclimate environment to an occupant. A controller communicates with the microclimate devices and calculates an occupant personal comfort based upon a thermal energy experienced by the occupant from thermal radiation sources, thermal convection sources, and thermal conduction sources, and to automatically command the microclimate devices in response to the calculated occupant personal comfort to achieve a desired occupant personal comfort. The automatic command adjusts and apportions the thermal conduction sources and/or thermal radiation sources to achieve the desired occupant personal comfort. A power management module adjusts the HVAC thermal conditioning system while adjusting and apportioning the thermal conduction sources and/or thermal radiation sources to achieve the desired occupant personal comfort.

摘要: A steering wheel cover has an inner core and an outer casing. The inner core has a tubular body portion and a pair of spaced-apart spines. The tubular body portion and spines together define an open-ended hollow channel that can be placed over a vehicle steering wheel via a gap between the spines. The inner core also has a plurality of crush ribs extending inwardly from an inner surface of the body portion. The crush ribs allow the inner core to be easily placed over multiple different sized steering wheels without slipping or otherwise moving on the steering wheel.

摘要: A system including an assembly arranged in at least one of a seat and a steering wheel of a vehicle and a measurement circuit. The assembly includes a sensor and a heater arranged adjacent to the sensor. The measurement circuit is configured to output an excitation signal to the measurement circuit and the assembly and measure a resonant frequency of the measurement circuit and the assembly in response to the excitation signal. The measurement circuit is configured to determine a capacitance value based on the resonant frequency and determine whether a body part is in proximity to the sensor based on the capacitance value.

摘要: A capacitance measuring system detecting an occupant of a vehicle. A sensor/heater assembly is arranged in at least one of a seat or a steering wheel of a vehicle and includes a sensor and a heater arranged adjacent to the sensor. A measurement circuit is configured to output an excitation signal to the measurement circuit and the sensor/heater assembly, measure a resonant frequency of the measurement circuit and the sensor/heater assembly in response to the excitation signal; determine at least one capacitance value based on the resonant frequency; and determine whether a body part is in proximity to the sensor based on the at least one capacitance value.

摘要: A control yoke for steering a motor vehicle, with a hub attached to a steering shaft, is connected to two steering handles protruding laterally in opposite directions, and has a motor-driven adjustment device by means of which the steering handles are displaceable from a usage position at a greater distance from the hub into a standby position at a smaller distance from the hub and vice versa. In an automatic steering mode of the motor vehicle the steering handles are rotatable by means of the adjustment device towards the driver in the usage position and away from the driver in the standby position about a transverse axis which connects the two steering handles and is arranged transversely to the rotation axis of the steering shaft.

摘要: A flexible electric heating device includes a planar flexible carrier foil, at least two electrically conductive bus lines attached to a surface of the carrier foil, and at least one electric heating member, including first and second electrically conductive electrodes, electrically connected to one of the bus lines. Each electrode has at least one curved edge, wherein the curved edges are located at a distance and are facing each other. The heating member further includes a resistive heater layer, at least partially overlapping the curved edges of the electrodes to form a resistive connecting region. The curved edges are arranged such that locations of the resistive connecting region are facing the first electrode or the second electrode in directions parallel to at least three mutually orthogonal directions that lie in the carrier foil, wherein one of the orthogonal directions is aligned parallel to an edge of the carrier foil.
