摘要: There is shown an endless conveyor having a loading station and an unloading station. Articles, such as pouches are loaded individually onto platters on an endless chain by a walking beam type device. Each platter on the chain co-operates with the next adjacent platter to form article receiving pockets and each platter has a plurality of slots aligned with the plurality of slots in the next adjacent platter. Articles are driven up an inclined ramp by a delivery conveyor to a loading platform. From the loading platform the articles are loaded onto the endless chain conveyor by the loading walking beam device. Articles are discharged from the endless chain conveyor at an unloading station where a series of platters pass through a vertical run of the chain onto upstanding rods which are inserted into the rear of the slots and then, whilst the conveyor is stationary, move horizontally to discharge the articles onto a platform. The rods are then returned to their initial position and the next series of platters is lowered over the rods along the vertical run. Differences in the movement requirements of the loading and unloading station are accommodated by an accumulator system of known type. There is also described the hinged attachment of the platters to the chain conveyor so that adjacent platters may hinge relative to each other on the chain.

摘要: The invention relates to apparatus for collating and stacking building components, such as roof tiles. The apparatus comprises pairs of shelves for receiving and supporting tiles which are fed into the shelves continuously by means of a conveyor arrangement. The shelves are moved downwards towards a stack support positioned beneath the shelves. As a pair of shelves becomes the lowermost pair, the two shelves move apart releasing the tile carried thereon onto the stack support to form part of a stack. When the stack is complete, the stack support is removed and the number of shelves between the uppermost and lowermost shelf increased to enable a predetermined number of tiles to be stored in the shelves while the stack support is being replaced.

摘要: Apparatus for collating and stacking building components, for example tiles, has pairs of conveyors with shelves for supporting edges of tiles. The tiles are fed to the shelves by a conveyor and the pairs of conveyors move upwardly in timed relation to locate tiles on the shelves. When all the shelves are full, the pairs of conveyors move downwards and apart to deposit the tiles in a stack on to a support. The timing of this avoids shock loads on the tiles. The stack of components is then banded and removed from the apparatus.

摘要: Tray handling apparatus for stacking or unstacking trays or baskets, as for example the wire mesh baskets employed in commercial baking operations. A pair of endless chain conveyors are located in spaced opposed alignment with each other with the two chains moving along like generally rectangular paths lying in parallel vertical general planes. Each chain carries a series of spaced pivotally supported hook assemblies and both chains are synchronously driven so that the hook assemblies move along the respective chain paths in horizontally aligned opposed pairs. The hook assemblies are mounted upon the chains for pivotal movement between an inwardly inclined tray engaging position in which opposed hook assemblies cooperatively support and convey a tray between the two chains and an inactive position where the hook assemblies can pass freely by a tray located between the two chains. An infeed conveyor is employed to feed trays to a ready position between one opposed pair of vertical runs of the two chains to be picked up by the hook assemblies, conveyed upwardly and across the horizontal upper runs of the two chains and then lowered down the opposite vertical run to be deposited at a receiving station. The hook assemblies are gravitationally biased to one of their engaging or inactive positions and shifted to the other of their two positions by cams or other mechanisms located along appropriate places on the chain paths. Two forms of hook assemblies are disclosed, one form being employed to transfer trays from single line horizontal conveyance into a vertical stack, while the other form of hook assembly is employed to disassemble a vertical stack of trays and transfer the trays to single line conveyance.

摘要: A palletizing apparatus and a method for stacking packages on a load carrier. The palletizing apparatus has a stacking location for palletizing the packages and at least two supply stations, which are in conveying connection with the stacking location and each have an intermediate carrier formed for receiving the packages. It is possible for the intermediate carriers to be vertically adjusted by a motor at least to some extent independently of one another between a low-level position and a high-level position. In order to make a rapid palletizing cycle possible, provision is made for the intermediate carriers to be horizontally adjustable by a motor-drive independently of one another between a starting position and an end position. The intermediate carriers are arranged at the supply stations for adjustment in a collision-free manner in opposite adjustment directions between a receiving position and a transfer position.
