    Abstract: A vehicular interior rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror head having a mirror casing and an electro-optic mirror reflective element. A printed circuit board is disposed in the mirror head and includes (i) a light sensor, (ii) an indicator LED and (iii) an electronic switch. A multi-function light pipe is disposed at the mirror head with (i) a first end at the light sensor, the indicator LED and the electronic switch, and (ii) a second end at a perimeter region of the mirror head so as to be viewable and accessible by the driver of the vehicle. The light sensor senses light from rearward of the vehicle via the light pipe. Light emitted by the indicator LED, when energized, is viewable by the driver via the light pipe. The light pipe actuates the electronic switch responsive to a user actuation at the second end of the light pipe.

    Abstract: A door handle assembly includes a handle portion disposed at a pocket region of the door handle region. The door handle assembly includes a plurality of touch sensors disposed at the handle portion that are linearly arranged along the handle portion. Each touch sensor has a respective touch sensitivity and generates sensor data based on the respective touch sensitivity and detection of a touch. The plurality of touch sensors includes at least two touch sensors having different respective touch sensitivities. A processor is operable to process the sensor data generated by the plurality of touch sensors. A controller, responsive to processing at the processor of the sensor data generated by the plurality of touch sensors, determines a touch event at the door handle assembly. The determined touch event includes a user touching the handle portion. The controller, responsive to detecting the touch event, locks or unlocks the vehicle door.

    Abstract: A vehicular exterior door handle assembly includes a handle portion, a light transmitting cover element disposed at least partially along a length dimension of the handle portion, and an illumination module having an illumination source. When the illumination source is electrically powered, light emitted by the illumination source passes at least partially along the length dimension of the handle portion. With the exterior door handle assembly mounted at a door handle region of a vehicle door and when the illumination source is electrically powered, light that passes at least partially along the length dimension of the handle portion is viewable by a person viewing the handle portion of the exterior door handle assembly. When the illumination source is not electrically powered, the illumination source is covert to the person viewing the handle portion of the exterior door handle assembly.

    Abstract: A vehicular exterior door handle assembly includes a base portion disposed at a door handle region of a vehicle door. A handle portion is movable relative to the base portion between a recessed position and a deployed position. An actuator includes a motor that is electrically operable to move the handle portion between the recessed position and the deployed position. The actuator includes a position indicating element that indicates at least one position of an output shaft of the motor. Responsive to an input signal, the actuator moves the handle portion between the recessed position and the deployed position. While the actuator moves the handle portion, the position indicating element indicates that the output shaft arrives at one of the at least one positions and the actuator depowers the motor.

    Abstract: A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a mounting arm and a mirror head having a mirror reflective element. An electrically-operated actuator includes a first attachment element that attaches at an actuator-mounting bracket of the mounting arm and a second attachment element that attaches at the mirror head. The actuator includes first and second motors that are electrically operated to cause adjustment of the mirror head relative to the mounting arm about respective first and second pivot axes. A mounting post of the mounting arm passes through an opening of the mirror head, the opening providing clearance between the mirror head and the mounting arm to allow movement of the mirror head relative to the mounting arm during electrical operation of the actuator when the base mounting portion of the vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly is mounted at the exterior portion of the side door of the equipped vehicle.

    Abstract: A vehicular camera module includes a housing, a camera disposed in the housing, and a transparent cover mounted at the housing. The camera views through the transparent cover. A wiper element is movable relative to the transparent cover to clean the transparent cover. The wiper element is moved via operation of a hydraulic actuator. With the vehicular camera module mounted at an exterior portion of a vehicle, the camera views through the transparent cover in order to capture image data of a scene exterior of the vehicle. With the vehicular camera module mounted at the exterior portion of the vehicle, the hydraulic actuator operates via pressurized fluid supplied to hydraulic actuator to move the wiper element back and forth across the transparent cover to clean the transparent cover of the vehicular camera module.

    Abstract: A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a mounting arm, a mirror head and an electrically-operated actuator. The mounting arm includes a base mounting portion that is configured for attachment at an exterior side portion of a vehicle. The mirror head includes a mirror reflective element sub-assembly. The actuator is secured at an actuator-mounting bracket of the mounting arm. With the mirror assembly mounted at an exterior portion of a side door of a vehicle, electrical operation of the actuator moves the mirror head to adjust a rearward view provided by the mirror reflective element to the driver of the vehicle viewing the mirror reflective element. A mounting post of the mounting arm passes through an opening of the mirror head that provides clearance between the mirror head and the mounting arm to allow movement of the mirror head relative to the mounting arm during electrical operation of the actuator.

    Abstract: A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror head movably mounted at a mounting arm via a pivot link. A locking mechanism includes a driving link, a receiver attached to the driving link, and a locking arm. The receiver receives a portion of the pivot link therein and includes a biasing element disposed at each end of the receiver and engaging respective sides of the portion of the pivot link. When the mirror head is moved relative to the mounting arm, the receiver moves to pivot the pivot link and swing the mirror head between retracted and extended positions. When the mirror head is moved to either position, the driving link is pivoted and causes a portion of the locking mechanism to engage the locking arm to move the locking arm into engagement with the mirror head to retain the mirror head in the respective position.

    Abstract: A vehicular rear slider window assembly includes a fixed window panel having an inner side and an outer side, an upper rail and a lower rail attached at the inner side, and a movable window panel having a lower perimeter edge received in a channel of the lower rail and an upper perimeter edge received in a channel of the upper rail. The lower rail includes a first attaching surface that attaches at the inner side and a second attaching surface opposite the first attaching surface. The retaining element includes an attaching portion that attaches at the second attaching surface and a retaining portion that extends at least partially across the channel of the lower rail to limit vertical movement of the movable window panel relative to the upper and lower rails.

    Abstract: A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror head having a mirror casing and a mirror reflective element, a support structure configured for attachment at a side of a vehicle, with the mirror head adjustably mounted at the support structure. The support structure extends laterally from the side of the vehicle. An adjustment mechanism is disposed at the end of the support structure. The adjustment mechanism is movably received at the mirror head and includes a rotatably driven gear that engages a toothed track of a mirror head bracket. Rotation of the gear causes translational movement of the mirror head bracket and the mirror head relative to the support structure to adjust the mirror head position relative to the support structure between a retracted position and an extended position.
