    摘要: The disclosure relates to an electrical device comprising a housing, a tamper resistant switch disposed in the housing, and an electrical component disposed in the housing. In this case, the tamper resistant switch can be in electrical communication with the electrical component to selectively electrically connect the electrical component with at least one electrical contact such as a power input. The electrical component can be in the form of a receptacle outlet, a motion sensor, an indicator light or additional tamper resistant switches. In one embodiment, the electrical component can be coupled in series with the tamper resistant switch to be selectively turned on. For example there can be a tamper resistant switch disposed in a housing along with a motion sensor or light sensor. In the case of a motion sensor, the tamper resistant switch can be turned to an on position to activate the motion sensor. If the motion sensor detects motion, then this motion sensor can be used to activate a load such as a light electrically coupled to the device.

    摘要: A modular wiring system comprising a functional unit and a wiring unit. There is also a system for coupling the functional unit to the wiring unit in a rotational manner. This system can be formed from at least one locking prong comprised of electrically conductive material. When the functional unit is coupled to the wiring unit, the locking prong is both electrically and physically coupled to the functional unit at a first end and to the wiring unit at a second end. Alternatively, or in addition, the system for coupling the functional unit to the wiring unit in a rotational manner can include at least one flange coupled to the functional unit and at least one flange coupled to the wiring unit. These flanges operate such that when the functional unit and the wiring unit are coupled together, they are rotated to form a locking connection between the flange on the functional unit and the flange on the wiring unit.

    摘要: A heat flow detector is described which measures a predetermined rate of heat flow in its surroundings, the surroundings being in the proximity of a recessed incandescent fixture which is designed to operate safely in the designated environment. Should the operating environment change for the fixture it will be sensed by the heat flow detector. If the operating environment becomes more dangerous so that a fire or other damage may occur the heat flow sensor will turn the incandescent lamp off and on at a slow rate to indicate the changed operating environemnt. The heat flow detector will cause a slow turn off and on if an oversize lamp is inserted in the incandescent fixture. The heat flow detector will thus prevent an overheated condition due to an oversize bulb.

    摘要: A convenience electrical connector that is snap-mounted to a wall panel. The body portion forms a body planar surface that is adapted to grip the inner wall of the panel. A cover secures the inner side of the body member. A pair of opposed biasable arms connected to the cover extend through side recesses to a position where keeper planar walls at the ends of the arms are positioned to grip the outer wall of the panel after being biased inwardly along keeper ramps by opposed edges of the panel opening. The connector comprises two units, the body and the cover with the two connected arms. Mounting is accomplished by inserting the arms into recesses and pressing the two units together. A pair of snap-in flanges at the ends of the cover are biased outwardly by clamped lock members at the side walls of the body portion and then self-biased into a locking mode with the body portion.
