    Abstract: A system, device, and method for inspecting the cosmetic and operational features of electronic devices, including computing and telecommunications devices. The cosmetic inspection system includes an image capture unit for capturing the images of the electronic devices, and a user interface for processing the captured images and providing relevant information to the user of the system. Images of the external components such as external casing materials or touch screens of electronic devices are captured and the cosmetic inspection system uses baseline images to make determinations to identify defective components of the electronic devices. Based on these determinations, the system may conclude which, if any, replacement components of the devices are needed to restore the electronic device. In one embodiment, a user of the system may then be provided with information through a user interface about defective components and options for ordering replacement components.

    Abstract: A system for activating a downhole tool may include a mandrel, a first piston disposed about the mandrel and defining a piston chamber therebetween, a flow restrictor positioned in the piston chamber and separating the piston chamber into an upper chamber located uphole of the flow restrictor and a lower chamber located downhole of the flow restrictor, and a second piston disposed in the upper chamber. The flow restrictor may define at least one orifice extending axially therethrough and, a damping fluid may reside in the piston chamber downhole from the second piston.

    Abstract: An apparatus, system and method for pumping gaseous fluid are described. The gas separator of the invention homogenizes at least a portion of produced well fluid and vents unhomogenized gas, improving the efficiency and decreasing the downtime of the assembly. A system for pumping gaseous fluid from an underground well includes a gas separator, the gas separator including an impeller configured to homogenize at least a portion of a gas and a liquid in a pumped fluid to obtain homogenized fluid, the impeller including a top side open to the diffuser and a truncated vane located at a mid-pitch location between at least two untruncated vanes starting from a bottom side of the impeller, and a gas separation chamber downstream of the impeller, the gas separation chamber configured to vent an unhomogenized gas, and a centrifugal pump arranged to receive the homogenized fluid from the gas separation chamber.

    Abstract: A downhole assembly comprising: a tubing string located within a wellbore; an outer housing located around a portion of the tubing string; an annulus located between the outside of the tubing string and the inside of the outer housing; at least one flow path through the annulus; an inflow control device positioned within the flow path; and a degradable rod, wherein the degradable rod fits into the flow path adjacent to the inflow control device, and wherein the degradable rod is positionable within the flow path or removable from the flow path. The downhole assembly can be used in an oil or gas operation to variably control the amount of a fluid flowing through the annulus.

    Abstract: A blade dispenser is provided that includes a housing, a carrier, and a blade eject assembly. The housing defines a carrier cavity having an open end, and includes a blade loading mechanism. The carrier is operable to hold a plurality of blades. The carrier is selectively disposable within the carrier cavity of the housing. The blade eject assembly includes a button biased in a normal position relative to a base. The button is operable to be moved relative to the base and engage a blade disposed within the carrier, and to move the blade to a position where at least a part of the blade is disposed outside the housing.
