    Abstract: [Problem] To provide a steering wheel including a damper unit with an excellent vibration absorbing effect.
    [Resolution Means] The steering wheel according to the present invention includes: a cored bar member; an airbag module which houses an airbag cushion and an inflator and is coupled to the cored bar member; and a damper unit arranged between the cored bar member and the airbag module. Here, the damper unit includes: a buffer member including an elastic material; an upper support member supporting the buffer member from above; and a lower support member supporting the buffer member from below. Moreover, the buffer member includes a laterally protruding flange part configured so as to be sandwiched between the upper support member and the lower support member. In addition, a gap is formed between the flange and at least one of the upper support member or the lower support member.

    Abstract: A safety airbag having an air bag, the air bag configured with an inflated state and a stowed state, and including a main body portion and a first side flap and a second side flap connected to two sides of the main body portion. The first side flap and the second side flap extend from the main body portion towards an occupant when the air bag is in the inflated state such that the head of the occupant is accommodated in a recessed portion between the first side flap and the second side flap.     Abstract: A belt retractor having an electrically actuatable locking device comprising a housing with a base plate and an upright first limb, a locking lever mounted pivotably on the upright first limb with a steel plate which is spring-loaded, and an electromagnet arranged in the housing and having a coil with a through opening, a first iron core which is arranged in the through opening, when a voltage is applied to the coil, exerts a magnetic force on the locking lever via the steel plate and actuates the locking lever for triggering a locking or unlocking movement against the force of the spring. The movement of the locking lever is enforced by a first magnetic circuit formed by the first iron core, the upright first limb and the portions of the base plate and of the locking lever between the first iron core and the upright first limb.

    Abstract: A vehicle occupant re-straining device, comprising an air bag inflated and deployed on both sides of a vehicle occupant; tension cloth housed so as to extend from the inside of the seat back of a seat into a seat cushion; an angle detection means for detecting the reclining angle of the seat back; and an inner pressure control means for controlling, depending on the reclining angle, pressure in the air bag at the time of inflation and deployment thereof, wherein the tension cloth is deployed on the sides of the seat when the surface material of the seat is broken open by the inflation and deployment of the air bag, thereby holding the surfaces of the air bag, which are located on the opposite sides of the vehicle occupant, and wherein the inner pressure control means reduces pressure in the air bag.

    Abstract: For example, even when an occupant is seated offset in a left-right direction, an airbag is reliably expanded and deployed. An airbag device contains: an airbag that protects at least a side portion of a shoulder region, upper arm region, and chest region of an occupant seated on a vehicle seat; and an inflator that supplies gas to the airbag. The airbag has a pair of side part protection chambers that are housed on at least both left and right sides of the vehicle seat. The side part protection chambers, when expanded and deployed, expand and deploy forward independently from both left and right sides of the vehicle seat. A pair of the inflators are provided to allow gas to be supplied to each side part protection chamber, and the ignition timing of the inflators can be controlled separately.

    Abstract: The present invention is an airbag device that is housed in the instrument panel of a vehicle and includes an inflator for generating inflation gas and an airbag that inflates and deploys toward the occupant side via gas released from the inflator. The airbag has a front protection part located in front of the occupant when deployed and a pair of side protruding parts located on the sides of the front protection part in the vehicle width direction and protruding further toward the occupant side than the front protection part. Furthermore, a cross tether extending in the direction intersecting the deployment direction of the airbag and connected to the inner surface of the airbag along with a pair of first front-rear tethers connected to the cross tether at the front ends thereof and connected to the front protection part at the rear ends thereof are provided inside the airbag.
