Abstract: Airbag devices for a vehicle. The airbag cushion may include a gas discharge section, a first tether, and a chamber having an occupant side panel and a steering wheel side panel. The first tether may include a first end directly or indirectly connected to the occupant side panel and second ends connected to the steering wheel side panel. The edge of the gas discharge section can be pulled into the chamber by the taut first tether and the area of the gas discharge section opening with the edge of the gas discharge section pulled into the chamber is smaller than when the first tether is relaxed.

Abstract: The present invention is an airbag device mounted on a steering wheel of a vehicle having a rim with a shape in which the distance from the center of rotation to the distance to the upper edges is shorter than to left and right edges, that includes a gas generator that generates an expansion gas and an airbag that expands and deploys toward the occupant due to the expansion gas. Furthermore, at the stage before the occupant comes into contact with the expanded and deployed airbag, the thickness (width) D1 of the upper end part of the airbag in the direction parallel to the rotation axis of the steering wheel when the airbag is viewed from the side is configured to be larger than the thickness (width) D2 of the lower end part.

Abstract: A driver seat airbag apparatus includes a steering wheel and an airbag module. The steering wheel has a central hub and a rim. The rim has a shape in which a portion of the upper portion of the rim is omitted. The hub includes: a module housing part which houses the airbag module; and a cover which covers the module housing and is cleavable at the expansion pressure of the cushion. The cover includes cover doors which open at the expansion pressure of the cushion. When the cover is cleaved, the cover doors are open in the right and left diagonal upward directions when viewed from the center of the hub, while a space portion without the cover doors is formed in the direction directly above the center of the hub when viewed from the center of the hub.

The thin-walled portion has a first plate thickness portion and a second plate thickness portion that is thinner than the first plate thickness portion. The second plate thickness portion is formed in the lower portion region of the design region.

[Solving Means]. An airbag device according to the present invention includes: a gas generator that generates expansion gas; an airbag that expands and deploys due to the expansion gas to restrain an occupant; and a diffuser disposed inside the airbag to control a flow of the expansion gas. Given that a direction toward the occupant is a first direction, the diffuser includes a receiving surface disposed between the gas generator and the airbag in the first direction to receive the expansion gas discharged from the gas generator; and a plurality of band-like connecting members having one end connected to an edge of the receiving surface and the other end directly or indirectly connected to the gas generator.-

Abstract: An airbag for a driver seat is provided with: a steering wheel of a vehicle; an inflator stored in the steering wheel; and a cushion stored in the steering wheel along with the inflator that expands and deploys to restrain a passenger. The occupant side panel has a larger area than the steering side panel, and an upper portion of the expanded and deployed cushion is thicker in the vehicle front-rear direction than a lower portion of the cushion.

Abstract: A retaining cover that encapsulates a cushion which is stowed in a bulk stowed form in front of the regular seating position of the vehicle having a side surface retaining part wound around a side surface of the cushion in stowed form, a cloth-like part provided in a manner traversing vertically across the upper surface of the cushion in stowed form, and a weak part provided at a prescribed location on the cloth-like part that divides the cloth-like part to an upper piece and lower piece due to the expansion pressure of the cushion. If the cushion expands and deploys with the occupant in close proximity, the upper piece of the cloth-like part is sandwiched in between the cushion and the occupant, such that the upper piece restrains the upward deployment of the cushion.

Abstract: A driver seat airbag device, provided with a steering wheel and an airbag module. The tear line extends continuously from at least the center of the frontal region to at least the center of the upper region. The cover doors open to the left and right respectively from near the center of the frontal region and upper region.
