    Abstract: A decoder for determining an estimate of a vector of information symbols carried by a signal received through a transmission channel represented by a channel matrix is provided. The decoder includes a block division unit configured to divide the vector of information symbols into two or more sub-vectors, each sub-vector being associated with a block level; two or more processors configured to determine, in parallel, candidate sub-vectors and to store the candidate sub-vectors in a first stack. Each processor is configured to determine at least a candidate sub-vector by applying a symbol estimation algorithm and to store each candidate sub-vector with a decoding metric and the block level associated with the candidate sub-vector. The decoding metric is lower than or equal to a decoding metric threshold. A processor among the two or more processors is configured to determine at least a candidate vector from candidate sub-vectors stored in the first stack, the candidate vector being associated with a cumulated decoding metric and to update the decoding metric threshold from the cumulated decoding metric.

    Abstract: A method for generating a reduced-blur digital image representing a scene, the method being computer-implemented and comprising the following successive steps: i) providing at least two digital source images, a same element of the scene being represented in at least two source images, ii) selecting a reference image among the source images, iii) for at least one source image different from the reference image, and for at least one pixel of the reference image, a) defining a pattern in the reference image comprising pixels of the reference image, the element being represented in said pattern, b) constructing a map of coordinates that associates coordinates of the pattern in the reference image with the coordinates of the most similar pattern in the source image, c) optionally, filtering of the map of coordinates, and d) generating a corrected image by assigning to a pixel of the corrected image, the position of the pixel of the reference image and a color extracted from the source image point which position is defined by the, optionally filtered, map of coordinates, iv) generating the reduced-blur image by processing, with a multifocus image fusion technique, the corrected image(s) and the reference image.

    Abstract: A method and device to modulate an FBMC/OQAM signal, the device comprising at least one QAM mapper mapping a binary stream into complex symbols, a first and a second transmission chain. Each chain comprises: a precoder transposing respective sets of symbols into frequency domain real/imaginary samples, a phase rotator applying a phase quadrature keying to said samples, an FBMC modulator to modulate the output of the phase rotator into an FBMC symbol. The device further comprises an adder of the output of the first transmission chain with a delayed output of the second transmission chain, and is configured to insert guard interval sequences into the binary stream or into the symbols processed by the precoders. A corresponding radio communication equipment, computer program and readable medium is provided.

    Abstract: There is provided a decoder (310) for sequentially decoding a data signal received through a transmission channel in a communication system, the received data signal carrying transmitted symbols, the decoder comprising a symbol estimation unit (311) configured to determine estimated symbols representative of the transmitted symbols carried by the received signal from information stored in a stack, the stack being filled by iteratively expanding child nodes of a selected node of a decoding tree comprising a plurality of nodes, each node of the decoding tree corresponding to a candidate component of a symbol of the received data signal and each node being associated with a predetermined metric, the stack being filled at each iteration with at least some of the expanded child nodes and being ordered by increasing values of the metrics associated with the nodes, the selected node for each iteration corresponding to the node having the lowest metric in the stack. The decoder further comprises a stack reordering activation monitoring unit (313) configured to monitor at least one stack reordering activation condition and, in response to a stack reordering activation condition being verified, to cause the symbol estimation unit to: reduce the metric associated with each node stored in the stack by a quantity, reorder the stack by increasing value of the reduced metric, and remove a set of nodes from the reordered stack so as to maintain a number N of nodes in the reordered stack, the maintained nodes corresponding to the N nodes having the lowest metrics in the reordered stack.

    Abstract: A decoder or a decoding method for decoding a data signal is provided by iteratively constructing a decoding tree comprising nodes, each representing a component of a symbol of a data signal, each iteration comprising, for a current node of the tree stored in the top of the stack; generating a reference child node of the current node from the data signal; from the reference child node, generating a first and second neighbor child nodes by subtracting/adding a positive integer parameter from/to the value of the reference node; storing in the stack three child nodes derived from the reference, first and second neighbor child nodes, the nodes stored in the stack being ordered by increasing values of a node metric; removing the current node stack; selecting the top node of the stack as the new current node. The data signal is estimated from the stack node information.
