Abstract:
A telescopic and collapsible desk lamp is disclosed having a lamp shade pivotally connected to a telescopic support supported on a cylindrical stand, wherein the telescopic support is consisted of two telescopic metal tubes pivotally connected to two metal mounting tubes fastened to the cylindrical stand by angle brackets. The lamp shade is turned upside-down and covered over the cylindrical stand at the top as the telescopic metal tubes are respectively received inside the metal mounting tubes. An insulative link is detachably connected between the telescopic metal tubes to prevent short circuit.
Abstract:
A desk lamp, which comprises a lamp holder having an unitary sleeve for the insertion therein of a first piece of wedge block to secure a journal therein by means of a doweled joint; a rod support having one end fastened in the journal and an opposite end fastened in a connector which is coupled with a second piece of wedge block through a doweled joint and fastened in a vertical sleeve of a lamp stand; and a control knob secured to the connector through a sleeve joint to control the positioning of the rod support on the lamp stand.

Abstract:
Compounds active on protein kinases are described, as well as methods of making and using such compounds to treat diseases and conditions associated with aberrant activity of protein kinases.
Abstract:
A robust method for detecting a relative position of a feedback device, such as an encoder or resolver, coupled to a shaft, such as a motor shaft, is provided. To detect the relative position, electrical commands are issued in an open loop mode to spin the motor shaft an amount greater than the apparent rotational angle between two consecutive markers of the position feedback device, such that the net mechanical rotation is equal to or greater than the total rotational angle between two consecutive markers.
Abstract:
A screwdriver includes a handle, a shaft, a torque-transmitting unit and a torque-adjusting unit. The shaft is partially inserted in the handle. The torque-transmitting unit is located in the handle and operable to transmit an adjustable maximum value of torque to the shaft from the handle. The torque-adjusting unit is partially located in the handle, connected to the torque-transmitting unit, and operable to adjust the adjustable maximum value of torque.
Abstract:
An illuminated keyboard includes optical sensors and units each comprising an optically transmissive key member; a scissors-shaped structure having a top secured to the key member; a light guide diaphragm under the scissors-shaped structure; an insulating diaphragm under the light guide diaphragm and including a light source on a top surface, a positive conductor connected to a positive terminal of the light source and on the top surface, a negative conductor connected to a negative terminal of the light source and on a bottom surface, and a bus having one end interconnecting the positive and negative conductors, and the other end connected to the sensor; a film circuit board under the insulating diaphragm and including a holed rubber dome with the key member positioned therein; and a base board with the scissors-shaped structure retained thereon. Brightness is adjusted in response to light condition as sensed by the sensor.
Abstract:
Compounds are described that are active on PPARs, including pan-active compounds. Also described are methods for developing or identifying compounds having a desired selectivity profile.
