    摘要: A material and method for treating a fractured formation penetrated by a wellbore includes providing a quantity of resin coated particles having a particle size of from about 0.2 mm to about 2.35 mm. A quantity of smaller deformable or non-deformable particles is combined with the resin coated particles to form a generally uniform consolidated particle pack when mixed together and subjected to at least one of heat and pressure. A slurry of the particles is formed with a carrier fluid capable of suspending the particles. The slurry of particles is introduced into the wellbore of the formation. The resin coated particles and smaller deformable particles thus may form a consolidated particle pack in at least a portion of the fractures of the formation.

    摘要: A dry solid composition is disclosed that, when added to an aqueous liquid, provides a slurry that can be used in sandstone acid fracturing. The slurry generates hydrofluoric acid downhole to etch the sandstone fracture faces created. The chemical and physical properties of the composition result in very uneven etching of the fracture faces, enhancing the fluid conductivity of the final fracture. Optionally, inert masking materials may be included in the dry composition, or added to the slurry, to increase the inhomogeneity of the etching and further increase the fluid conductivity.

    摘要: A method is provided for diverting the majority of the fluid injected into a stratified subterranean formation, that has at least one problematic zone and at least one hydrocarbon zone, into the hydrocarbon zone. In the method, a viscous diverting fluid made with a gelling amount of a surfactant and an acid is injected before the main treatment; after the treatment the acid decomposes the surfactant. The main treatment may be hydraulic fracturing, acid fracturing and matrix acidizing. The fluid used as the diverting fluid may also be used as the carrier fluid in hydraulic fracturing or gravel packing. Destruction of the surfactant alleviates the potential of diverters or carrier fluids to damage formations.
