Abstract: A leadless pacing device may include a housing having a proximal end and a distal end, and a set of one or more electrodes supported by the housing. The housing may include a first a distal extension extending distally from the distal end thereof. The distal extension may include a retractable and/or rotatable distal electrode. The distal electrode may be configured to be delivered to and pace at the Bundle of His. The leadless pacing device may be releasably coupled to an expandable anchor mechanism.

Control circuitry in the ventricular implantable medical device is configured to deliver a ventricular pacing therapy to a patient's heart, wherein the ventricular pacing therapy is time dependent, at least in part, on an atrial event identified in the search window of time.

Abstract: An implantable medical device (IMD) is configured with a pressure sensor. The IMD includes a housing, a pressure sensor and a fluid filled cavity. The housing has a diaphragm that is exposed to the environment outside of the housing. The pressure sensor has a pressure sensor diaphragm that is responsive to a pressure applied to the pressure sensor diaphragm and provides a pressure sensor output signal that is representative of the pressure applied to the pressure sensor diaphragm. The fluid filled cavity is in fluid communication with both the diaphragm of the housing and the pressure sensor diaphragm of the pressure sensor. The fluid filled cavity is configured to communicate a measure related to the pressure applied by the environment to the diaphragm of the housing to the pressure sensor diaphragm of the pressure sensor.

Abstract: Implantable medical devices such as leadless cardiac pacemakers (LCP) may be configured to be delivered to a target location within the heart over a guide wire. In some cases, using a guide wire for delivery facilitates placement of devices in regions not otherwise easily reached. An LCP may include a housing and a wire lumen disposed relative to the housing. The wire lumen may be configured to allow the LCP to slide over a guide wire. In some cases, the guide wire may include a guide wire electrode that may be used to test potential implantation sites.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for pacing a heart of a patient are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method for pacing a patient's heart may include determining a posture of the patient and determining if the determined posture corresponds to a predetermined sleep posture. If the determined posture correspond to the predetermined sleep posture, the method may further comprise determining a respiration phase of the patient and pacing the patient's heart at a pacing rate that is modulated based on the determined respiration phase of the patient. If the determined posture does not correspond to the predetermined sleep posture, the method may pace the patient's heart at a pacing rate that is not dependent on the respiration phase of the patient.

A tissue growth-inhibiting layer may extend over the titanium outer surface. In some cases, the tissue growth-inhibiting layer may include a plurality of polyethylene glycol molecules, at least some of the plurality of polyethylene glycol molecules covalently bonded via an ether bond to one of the plurality of titanium atoms.
