摘要: A system and method for detecting and verifying bradycardia/asystole episodes includes sensing an electrogram (EGM) signal. The EGM signal is compared to a primary threshold to sense events in the EGM signal, and at least one of a bradycardia or an asystole is detected based on the comparison. In response to detecting at least one of a bradycardia or an asystole, the EGM signal is compared to a secondary threshold to sense events under-sensed by the primary threshold. The validity of the bradycardia or the asystole is determined based on the detected under-sensed events.

摘要: A system including a catheter including multiple, spatially distributed electrodes configured to measure electrical signals of a heart, a system configured to determine a position of the electrodes at multiple, different catheter positions in the heart, and a processing unit for mapping electrical activity in the heart. The processing unit is configured to receive the measured electrical signals from each position of the multiple, different catheter positions and determine whether the measured electrical signals at the position are organized. If the measured electrical signals at the position are organized, the processing unit is configured to determine at least one of velocity vectors, cycle length, and degree of organization at the position from the measured electrical signals.

摘要: A switchable filter device for use in a system for recording electro-physiological signals. The filter device includes a plurality of recording channels, the recording channels having an ablation recording channel. Each recording channel has a patient side terminal at a patient interface and a corresponding recording side terminal at a recording device interface. Each recording channel includes a first signal path with a first frequency dependent transmission characteristic having a first pass band, a second signal path with a second frequency dependent transmission characteristic different from the first frequency dependent transmission characteristic, the second frequency dependent transmission characteristic having a second pass band overlapping the first pass band, and switching devices operable to switch between the first signal path and the second signal path in response to a control signal indicative of a transient interference signal. Preferably, switching from the second signal path to the first signal path is performed with a switching delay after termination of the transient interference signal.

摘要: A method includes receiving an anatomical map of at least a portion of a heart. Positions and respective electrocardiogram (ECG) signal amplitudes measured at the positions are received for at least a region of the anatomical map. The ECG signal amplitudes are interpolated to derive a surface representation of the ECG signal amplitudes over the region. The surface representation of the ECG signal amplitudes is presented overlaid on the anatomical map.

摘要: A medical apparatus includes a probe configured for insertion into a body of a patient. The probe includes electrodes configured to contact tissue of a region within the body. The apparatus further includes a display screen, a position-tracking system configured to acquire position coordinates of the electrodes within the body, and a processor. The processor is configured to acquire electrophysiological signals from the electrodes while they are held stationary in the region, extract electrophysiological parameters from the signals, compute a measure of consistency of the parameters, and render to the display screen a three-dimensional (3D) map of the tissue while superimposing on the map, responsively to the position coordinates, a visual indication of the extracted parameters at the locations for which the measure of consistency satisfied a consistency criterion, and automatically discarding from the map the parameters for which the measure of consistency did not satisfy the consistency criterion.

摘要: A deflectable catheter with biased deflection characteristics has an elongated catheter body having a micro-injection molded spine that is configured with a center core, outwardly extending opposing struts, and one or more sets of longitudinally-aligned and discrete fins, wherein the struts resist deflection of the spine in a first plane and bias deflection of the spine in a second plane, wherein parameters of the discrete fins define deflection characteristics of the spine in the second plane.

摘要: A method for processing a cardiac signal represented as a function of time includes providing a number n of different threshold levels Ni, with i=1 to n and n being greater than or equal to three; detecting, from a given time T and per threshold level Ni, at least two successive intersections of the cardiac signal with the threshold level Ni, considering a crossing per increasing and/or decreasing value of the cardiac signal with the threshold level Ni; and determining at least one statistical parameter for the cardiac signal from the intersections of the cardiac signal with the at least three different threshold levels Ni. The method may be implemented by a subcutaneous active implantable medical device having a control circuit configured to process a cardiac signal.

摘要: A network of electrodes configured to sense and/or pace the heart, wherein the network of electrodes are in contact with an epicardial surface of the heart, within a wrapping sleeve that assist the heart as a whole, wherein the network of electrodes sense the heart by quantifying intrinsic electrical activities of the heart, and wherein the network of electrodes pace the heart by inducing an electrical impulse to the heart to control its contractile activities. The network may be interfaced with a controller system, wherein the controller uses spatial and temporal electrical activities of the heart muscles to generate electrical impulse to synchronize the wrapping sleeve around the heart with the heart. Also disclosed is a system configured to construct space-time mapping of cardiac electrical activities and/or propagation, and sensing effects of a first assist event of a prior beat and controlling a second assist event.
