Abstract: A tool erosion detecting system for a machine having a ground engaging tool is disclosed. The tool erosion detecting system may include a camera configured to generate a first image of the ground engaging tool on a display device, an input device configured to receive a user input, and a controller in communication with the camera and the input device. The controller may be configured to generate an augmented reality view of the ground engaging tool. The augmented reality view may include the first image of the ground engaging tool generated by the camera and a second image of a ground engaging tool superimposed on the first image and being associated with a selected wear level, wherein the selected wear level is based on the user input.

The board also includes a working portion defining a plurality of anti-rotation grooves and a plurality of working zones therebetween having a wear resistant material, and the working portion includes a strip of wear resistant material disposed immediately below the attachment portion.

Abstract: A ground engaging tooth assembly for a cutting edge of a ground engaging implement may include an adapter and a ground engaging tip. The adapter may have a forward extending adapter nose having an inverted or reverse keystone-shaped contour, with the ground engaging tip having a nose cavity for receiving the adapter nose and exterior surfaces having complementary shapes to the adapter nose. The adapter nose and an adapter cavity of the tip may also be configured with complimentary surfaces that increase retention between the adapter nose and the tip when downward forces are applied to the tip. In other embodiments, the surfaces of the tip may include reliefs extending inwardly into the body of the tip to reduce weight and facilitate penetration of the tip into work material as wear material wears away from a front edge of the tip.

Abstract: A tool bit includes a shank portion defining a longitudinal axis, a free end, and a perimeter, at least one anti-rotation feature on the perimeter extending to the free end, and a cross-hole defining a cross-hole axis along which the cross-hole extends through the shank portion. The tool bit also including a working portion extending downwardly axially from the shank portion. The working portion includes a rear region, a front working region defining a width with a midpoint, a first side region and a second side region. The first side region and the second side region define an angle of extension measured in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The cross-hole axis pass through the width of the front working region when projected onto a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis.
