    Abstract: A shroud retention system for a work tool is disclosed. The shroud retention system may have an adapter attached to the work tool. The shroud retention system may also have a shroud that slidably engages with the adapter. The shroud may have a retainer slot. Further, the shroud retention system may have a spring assembly disposed in the shroud. The spring assembly may have a block that slidably moves relative to the adapter. The spring assembly may also have a resilient member disposed between the adapter and the block. In addition, the spring assembly may have a retainer disposed in the retainer slot. The retainer may engage with the block. The retainer may have at least one recess disposed on the retainer front face or on the retainer rear face. The recess may extend partway toward the other of the retainer front face or the retainer rear face.

    Abstract: A fastener retaining component may comprise a first elongated member. A length of the first elongated member may be greater than a diameter of a fastener receiving element of a component. The fastener retaining component may further comprise a second elongated member. A length of the second elongated member may be greater than the diameter of the fastener receiving element. The fastener retaining component may be configured to be press-fit within the fastener receiving element such that press-fitting the fastener retaining component, within the fastener receiving element, increases a tension in the fastener retaining component to cause the first elongated member and the second elongated member to engage with an inner surface of the fastener receiving element and to retain a fastener within the fastener receiving element.

    Abstract: A sidebar protecting wear member includes a module having a length extending in a length direction from a first end to a second end, and a width extending in a width direction from a first side to a second side, the length being greater than the width. The module includes a generally planar surface and a first sidebar engaging abutment protruding from the generally planar surface adjacent the first end and a second sidebar engaging abutment protruding from the generally planar surface adjacent the second end. The module includes an attachment tab at only one of the first and second sides of the module and extending in a direction generally perpendicular to the generally planar surface.

    Abstract: A wear member for an earth-working implement includes a body having front, rear, top, bottom, inner side and outer side portions. A cutting edge is defined along at least a portion of a bottom interface. The wear member includes a contoured upper front surface, which extends between a top edge along a top interface between the front portion and the top portion, an outer side edge along an outer side interface between the front portion and the outer side portion, a ridge on the front portion, and a spearhead edge along the bottom interface.     Abstract: A shroud retention system for a work tool is disclosed. The shroud retention system may have an adapter attached to the work tool, and a shroud having a channel that slides over the adapter. The channel may have a retainer slot. The shroud retention system may further have a spring assembly disposed in the channel and connectable to the adapter. The spring assembly may have a slide compressor that can slide within the channel relative to the adapter. The slide compressor may have a compressor mating feature. The spring assembly may further have a resilient member disposed between the adapter and the slide compressor. The shroud retention system may have a retainer plate disposed in the retainer slot. The retainer plate may have a retainer mating feature that mates with the compressor mating feature such that the retainer plate and the slide compressor are engaged in a locked position.
