    摘要： Systems and techniques relating to a microscope with an adjustable stage are described. A microscope includes a base, a support arm attached to and extending upwardly from the base, a head attached to the support arm, the head including a lens, and an eyepiece attached to the head. A stage is releasably attachable to the support arm between the head and the base at multiple locations, providing multiple working distances between a lower surface of the head and an upper surface of the stage. When the stage is attached to the support arm at a location, a working distance between the lower surface of the head and the upper surface of the stage is further adjustable to an either greater or lesser working distance. In another embodiment, microscopic and macroscopic viewing can both be provided using a lens changer with multiple lens positioned radially about an axis of rotation.

The handpiece communicates with the site through an elongate wand that passes through an incision to the irrigation site. A spike extending upwardly from a pump head portion of the pumping unit detachably connects the pumping unit to the irrigation source.

    摘要： Provided is a flexible and conformal wearable, self-contained medical device. The medical device comprises an integral housing formed by a flexible upper portion and a flexible lower portion joined along their perimeters. The medical device is also provided in a plurality of shapes and configurations for increasing the flexibility and conformability of the housing. The components contained within the housing, such as a drug reservoir, printed circuit board, and power supply are preferably constructed from flexible materials and are formed, connected and positioned according to the configuration of the housing in a manner for enhancing flexibility of the housing. A thermal bubble micropump is provided for controlling flow of a drug from the flexible reservoir, that utilizes a thermal resistor provided locally to a thermal expansion fluid that causes a surrounding membrane to expand and displace a volume of drug to be provided to the user.

    摘要： Method and arrangement for providing a load carrier mountable on a carrying vehicle. The arrangement includes an elevating structure arranged between a base portion and a load supporting portion. The elevating structure is adapted to expand and contract between raised and lowered configurations. The elevating structure includes two substantially upright members, each of which is slidably moveable relative to the other for establishing the raised and lowered configurations. A fixing device is provided for releasably fixing the two sliding members one to the other. The fixing device includes a blocking member that is insertible in aligned receivers, one each of the aligned receivers being formed in each of the two sliding members for preventing expansion and contraction of the elevating structure. The fixing device further includes a take-up arrangement that is configured to press one of the two upright members against the other thereby forming a releasable friction fit therebetween.
