    Abstract: An embodiment includes a system comprising: an artery, a vein, and a nerve; a first length of tubing adjacent at least one of the vein, artery, and nerve; a second length of tubing to couple to the first length of tubing; and a pump comprising a number of actuators; wherein when the system when operating is configured such that (b)(i) the second length of tubing couples to at least one of the number of actuators, (b)(ii) ends of the first and second lengths of tubing are closed, (b)(iii) a second end of the first length of tubing is operatively coupled to a second end of the second length of tubing, (b)(v) the pump pulsates fluid within the first length of tubing in response to the number of actuators intermittently contacting the second length of tubing.

    Abstract: A surgical irrigation and suction control apparatus connecting to an irrigation device and a suction device includes a flexible cannula, a grip, a first tube, a second tube, an irrigation control unit and a suction control unit. The grip is connected to the flexible cannula. The irrigation control unit includes an irrigation switch and an irrigation tube. The irrigation tube is flexible and is connected between the second tube and the irrigation device. The irrigation switch is disposed on the grip and is actuated to change a diameter of the irrigation tube. The suction control unit includes a suction switch and a suction tube. The suction tube is flexible and is connected between the second tube and the suction device. The suction switch is disposed on the grip and is actuated to change a diameter of the suction tube.

    Abstract: A cleaning catheter includes an inflatable element and an input module, which includes an inflation chamber coupled in fluid communication with the inflatable element. A flow regulator defines a suction port coupleable in fluid communication with a suction source. A mechanical suction-control button is configured to assume at least first and second spatial positions. A mechanical inflation-control button is configured to mechanically and non-electrically increase pressure in the interior of the inflation chamber during a transition of the mechanical inflation-control button from a first spatial position to a second spatial position; and a reversibly-engageable linking element, which is moveable with respect to the mechanical suction-control button and the mechanical inflation-control button, and is configured to assume at least a first spatial position, in which the linking element does not engage the mechanical suction-control button when the mechanical suction-control button is in its second spatial position; and a second spatial position.
