    摘要: Proposed is a magnetic recording medium consisting of a non-magnetic substrate and a magnetic recording layer formed thereon by the sputtering method, in which the non-magnetic substrate is a disk of single crystal silicon having a surface substantially in parallel with the crystallographic (111) plane with an angle of deviation not exceeding 15.degree., of which the surface roughness Rp does not exceed 25 nm. By virtue of the use of the unique material for the substrate, the magnetic recording layer is outstandingly stable as compared with conventional aluminum or glass substrates and the magnetic layer formed thereon by sputtering has a greatly improved coercive force of 1300 oersted or higher.

    摘要: In order to improve the efficiency of a fuel cell power generation system and its ability to adjust to disturbing factors which may occur during operation, a motor driven compressor for providing reaction air to the fuel cell system is driven independently of a power recovery system which recovers energy lost in operational by-products and converts the energy into electrical power. The independent motor driven compressor provides a stable supply of reaction air to the fuel cell and aids in shortening the time necessary for system start up.

    摘要: A spinodal decomposition type ternary magnetic allioy is provided which contains, by weight, 3 to 40% vanadium, 5 to 45% chromium and the balance essentially iron. Optionally the alloy may contain at least one additional element, said additional element being present individually in an amount of 0.1 to 5% by weight and not greater than the amount of either vanadium or chromium. The alloy is easy to work and has excellent hard or semi-hard magnetic properties comparable with those of conventional iron-chromium-cobalt alloys. Yet the alloy is low in material cost and simple and inexpensive to manufacture.

    摘要: Continuous casting facilities generally including a pair of moulds with a rail on each side thereof. Self-propelled tundish cars each carrying a tundish with a detachable immersion nozzle ride on the rails. The apparatus includes a truck running on the rail opposite the operator's side of the moulds connectable with one of the tundish cars and carrying an immersion nozzle exchanger. A connecting piece feeder, a powder feeder, and an immersion nozzle preheater are also mountable on the truck. Equipment interferences are eliminated by the specific structures and the operator's view of the moulds is not obstructed.

    摘要: A horizontal continuous casting installation wherein a body of molten metal stored in a tundish is continuously fed through a tundish nozzle connected to the tundish near its bottom and extending horizontally to a mold connected to the forward end of the tundish nozzle coaxially therewith, to perform casting by the mold to produce a strand continuously withdrawn horizontally from the mold. An electromagnetic field generating device is arranged in the vicinity of the tundish nozzle and mold in a manner to enclose same, to generate an electromagnetic force oriented toward the center of a body of molten metal flowing through the boundary and exerted on the body of molten metal. The electromagnetic field generating device is constructed such that a magnetic flux of higher density is generated in a lower portion of the body of molten metal than in an upper portion thereof.
