摘要： A content display control apparatus includes control functions, in which, a content is obtained, data associated with a character string corresponding to the content is obtained, the character string associated with the data is segmented into a line in accordance with a criterion determined in advance, a display duration time of the character string is set on a line-by-line basis, the segmented line is sequentially superimposed and displayed in accordance with the corresponding display duration time set thereby, the number of characters included in the segmented line is counted, a period of time corresponding to the counted number of characters is calculated, the calculated period of time is set as the display duration time corresponding to the segmented line, and subsequent to completion of displaying of the segmented line of the character string corresponding to the obtained content, a different content is displayed.

In this case, a conversion table is unnecessary and the number of key operations is reduced. The number of input characters or input character strings composed by sequentially selecting one from a plurality of alphabets distributed to sequentially entered keys is relevant to the number of operation keys (N) raised to the number of distributed character (M) power (=NM) including meaningless characters or character strings and, with respect to these, character conversion is executed by referring to a dictionary means, through the operation of the conversion/next candidate key. The dictionary means stores numeric strings and words of meaningful characters or character strings among the said characters and character strings.

摘要： The present invention concerns a coordinate input device for entering coordinate values by superposing on a display device (LCD or CRT). The device is comprised of a coordinate input section wherein a first conductive sheet for x-coordinate detection provided with electrodes on a pair of end edges and a second conductive sheet for y-coordinate detection provided with electrodes on a pair of end edges are superposed through a spacer so that respective electrodes intersect orthogonally. In a low power consumption mode of operation; a predetermined voltage is applied between one of the electrodes of the first conductive sheet and one of electrodes of the second conductive sheet for detecting a variation of the voltage. When the voltage varies the device switches, a predetermined voltage is applied between one electrode x1 of the first conductive sheet and one electrode y2 of the second conductive sheet. When the voltage does not vary, no current flows between the pair of electrodes x1, x2 (or y1, y2) of either of the first conductive sheet or the second conductive sheet, therefore the low power consumption is maintained.

摘要： A thermal head comprises a plurality of parallelogrammatic resistors for generating heat formed on an insulated substrate made of, such as ceramics or alumina. The resistors are aligned at regular intervals, and one pair of opposite sides of each resistor are connected individually to lead electrodes. These opposite sides are equal to or longer than the other opposite sides, and an acute angle formed between each two intersecting sides is 45.degree. or less. The resistor is heated by various electric currents to record printing dots of various sizes.

摘要： A reciprocating saw includes a body and a slider supported by the body such that the slider is slidably movable in a longitudinal direction of the body and is pivotally movable in a vertical direction. A first motion conversion mechanism is operable to convert the rotational movement of the rotary member into a reciprocal movement of the slider in the longitudinal direction. A second motion conversion mechanism is operable to convert the rotational movement of the rotary member into a reciprocal pivotal movement of the slider in the vertical direction. The second motion conversion mechanism includes an arm having one end vertically pivotally connected to the slider. An actuating member is rotatable with the rotary member and has an abutting surface on which the other end of the arm slidably abuts. The abutting position of the other end of the arm on the abutting surface is varied as the actuating member is rotated, so that the vertical position of one end of the arm is varied.
