    Abstract: An image decoding method includes: acquiring a multiple transform selection (MTS) index and residual information from a bitstream; deriving transform coefficients for the current block on the basis of the residual information; and generating residual samples of the current block on the basis of the MTS index and the transform coefficients, wherein the MTS index indicates a transform kernel set to be applied to the current block among transform kernel set candidates, at least one bin among bins of a bin string of the MTS index is derived on the basis of context coding, the context coding is performed on the basis of values of increase and decrease in a context index pertaining to the MTS index, and a single value of increase and decrease in the context index can be used for the context coding of the first bin among the bins of the bin string.

    Abstract: An image decoding method includes: deriving an L0 motion vector and a L1 motion vector of the current block; deriving prediction samples of the current block based on the L0 motion vector and the L1 motion vector; and generating reconstructed samples of the current block based on the prediction samples. Deriving the prediction samples includes applying bi-directional optical flow (BDOF) to the current block based on whether the condition for applying BDOF to the current block is satisfied, and the application condition of the BDOF includes a condition whereby the values of L0 luma weighted prediction flag information and L1 luma weighted prediction flag information are both zero, where the a value of each of the L0 luma weighted prediction flag information and L1 luma weighted prediction flag information being 0 represents that a weight factor for each of a L0 and L1 prediction luma components does not exist, respectively.

    Abstract: An image decoding method performed by a decoding apparatus according to the present document comprises the steps of: deriving prediction samples for a first sample and a second sample of the current block on the basis of BDPCM-related information about the current block and neighboring samples of the current block; deriving residual samples for the first sample and the second sample on the basis of a residual coefficient of the first sample and a modified residual coefficient of the second sample; and storing, as the intra prediction mode of the current block, the intra prediction mode in the prediction direction of the current block, which is derived on the basis of a BDPCM direction flag.

    Abstract: A method by which a decoding device decodes an image, according to the present document, comprises the steps of: generating a restoration picture on the basis of prediction samples of a coding block; deriving a boundary strength (BS) for a boundary of the coding block in the restoration picture; performing deblocking filtering on the boundary of the coding block on the basis of the boundary strength; and deriving a modified restoration picture for the restoration picture on the basis of the deblocking filtering, wherein the boundary strength is derived on the basis of a prediction mode of a first block and a second block that are adjacent to the boundary of the coding block, and the prediction mode of the first block or the second block is derived on the basis of whether the prediction mode of the first block or the second block is a current picture referencing (CPR) mode to be coded in reference to a current picture.
