摘要: A case having a case body, in which a plurality of terminal accommodating chambers are formed in parallel, and an elastic waterproof portion, which is formed integrally with the case body and which has a plurality of wire insertion holes into which covered wires are inserted in a waterproof state is inserted through an opened portion of a connector housing so that the elastic waterproof portion is fitted to the opened portion in a waterproof state. Therefore, when the covered wires are inserted into the wire insertion holes, the projecting portions of the covered wires simply are required to be adjusted to have a predetermined length. Thus, the necessity of furthermore adjusting the projection portion when the solderless connection is established can be eliminated. Since the elastic waterproof portion is formed integrally with the case body, pressure cannot easily act on the portions in which the solderless terminals and the covered wires are solderless-connected to one another even if the elastic waterproof portion is strongly pressed to the inside of the opened portion. Therefore, the electrically conductive state between the solderless terminals and the covered wires can be maintained.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a waterproof connector housing and an apparatus for practicing the method of manufacture are provided. The apparatus includes overflow projecting walls which extends either from a male metal mold or a female metal mold in a direction in which the male metal mold is inserted into a female metal mold. The overflow preventing walls are formed at edge portions of a space for forming a packing, after tips of the overflow preventing walls are pressed against a housing arranged between the male and female metal molds so that the tips of the overflow preventing walls are allowed to adhere to the housing. Rubber material is injected into the space and the overflow preventing walls act to surely prevent the overflow of rubber material from the space.

摘要: A locking connector housing capable of insuring an inserting load necessary for locking, improving unlocking performance, and insuring reliability in the strength of a lock arm, is provided. Both lateral sides of a front end of a lock arm are supported by front support portions. The lock arm has a retaining projection, engageable with a retaining portion of a mating housing, and an unlocking portion. The front end support portions are disposed on a pair of protective walls erected on an upper wall surface of a housing. A rear end portion of the lock arm is folded back to form a band portion, with a tail end of the band portion being supported by a rear support portion on the upper wall surface of the housing. Reinforcing ribs are arranged on both lateral ends of the lock arm, each reinforcing rib being such that the height thereof is tapered from the front to the rear. The lock arm having the reinforcing ribs 14 and the band portion allows the housings to be engaged and locked, and requires only a small unlocking force.

摘要: A lock release structure of a connector (23) for locking a male connector (21) with a female connector (27) having a lock portion (51) includes: a lock arm (33) formed in an outer surface of the male connector and having a lock projection (49) engaged with the lock portion (51) of the female connector when both the male and female connectors are locked with each other; and two lock release operation walls (39) formed on both sides of a free end (35) of the lock arm (33). Each of the lock release operation walls is formed with an inner lock engagement release surface (43) brought into contact with one of two free end side surfaces (37) of the lock arm, when the lock release operation walls are depress toward each other, to deform the lock arm by a predetermined distance and thereby to release the lock projection of the lock arm from the lock portion (51) of the female connector. The lock arm can be prevented from being released by an inadvertent external force and is protected from an excessive external force.

摘要: Disclosed is a male connector to be fitted to a female connector having a fitting hood, a first terminal and a first engaging portion. The male connector is provided with a connector body fitted to the fitting hood, which connector body has a holding chamber to hold a second terminal to be fitted to the first terminal. An elastic lock arm is integrally formed on the connector body through a front supporting portion and a rear supporting portion in an inserting direction, and has a second engaging portion to engage the first engaging portion. An elastic bending portion intervenes between at least one of the front supporting portion and the rear supporting portion and the elastic lock arm and integrally connects at least one of the front supporting portion and the rear supporting portion with the elastic lock arm.

摘要: The connector consists of a male connector housing with a resilient locking arm, a terminal locking member mounted to the rear of the male connector housing in two steps, i.e., a preliminarily engaged state and a fully engaged state, and a stopper provided to the terminal locking member. In the fully engaged state, the stopper is located below a control portion of the resilient locking arm. When the male connector housing is unlocked from a female connector housing, the stopper comes into contact with the resilient locking arm to prevent an excessive displacement of the locking arm and keep the locking arm free from damage.

摘要: A connector comprises a connector housing with a plurality of terminal accommodating chambers and a rear holder which to be inserted into and coupled with a rear end of the connector housing for restricting pulling-up of terminals inserted respectively into the terminal accommodating chambers. A stopper body which is coupled on a rear section of the rear holder through a hinge section and which is interchangeable between a laid-down condition extending along an inserting direction of the rear holder and a standing-up condition which intersects with the laid-down condition is engaged with the rear end of the connector housing in a tentative locking state when the stopper body is biased into the standing-up condition. The stopper body is brought to the laid-down condition in a complete locking state so as to be accommodated within the rear end of the connector housing. A plurality of indication marks are displayed on a rear face of the stopper body when the stopper body is in the standing-up condition to indicate accommodation of the terminals into the respective terminal accommodating chambers.

摘要: In this invention, metal terminals are held by a connecting member, connectable to a connector housing, so as to stabilize the posture of each metal terminal, thereby facilitating the fitting thereof with its mating metal terminal.According to the present invention, a connector includes a connector housing for receiving metal terminals therein, and a terminal holder connected to the connector housing in a two-stage manner, that is, first in a provisionally-connected condition and then in a completely-connected condition. 摘要: The connector consists of a connector housing with a plurality of terminal accommodating chambers and a terminal locking member mounted to the rear portion of the connector housing. The terminal locking member is fitted to the connector housing in one of two engagement states--a preliminarily engaged state and a fully engaged state. The terminal locking member has resilient support pieces for fixing the terminal lugs in the terminal accommodating chambers. When the terminal locking member is moved backwardly from the preliminarily engaged state, the resilient support pieces ride on triangular engagement projections formed on the connector housing, moving outwardly out of the insertion path of the terminal lugs. This allows the terminal lug in question to be pulled out without disengaging the terminal locking member from the connector housing.
