    摘要: A cable connector includes a casing having two members ultra-sonically jointed to define therein an interior space for receiving a connector body which has a coupling end to couple to a counterpart connector with a plurality of slots formed therein, wherein the respective slot receives a connection pin, for establishing signal channel with a counterpart connector. A cable containing a number of conductors has a joint end received within the casing to allow the conductors to be electrically connected to the connector body via a circuit board. The joint end of the cable has two opposite shoulders each having a front face and an opposite rear face to be snugly receive within a chamber defined within the casing by two spaced wall segments with the front and rear faces thereof in abutment relationship with the wall segments to provide resistance to external force acting upon the cable. Each of the shoulders of the cable is provided with a hole into which a peg formed inside the respective chamber is received to provide a further resistance to the external force. The casing is further provided with two lock-in spring plates at two opposite sides thereof, each having a retaining section fixed inside the casing and a lock-in section outside the casing for securing the connector to the counterpart connector, a pushbutton section being integrally connected between the retaining section and the lock-in section to form a single piece member. The pushbutton section is accessible by a user to release the connector from the counterpart connector.

Each of the lock release operation walls is formed with an inner lock engagement release surface (43) brought into contact with one of two free end side surfaces (37) of the lock arm, when the lock release operation walls are depress toward each other, to deform the lock arm by a predetermined distance and thereby to release the lock projection of the lock arm from the lock portion (51) of the female connector. The lock arm can be prevented from being released by an inadvertent external force and is protected from an excessive external force.

    摘要: A self-locking coupling nut (14) includes a nut surrounding a first shell (12) for threaded engagement with a second shell (66) to secure the shells in mating engagement. A plurality of balls (52) mounted in the nut are initially engaged with a ball receiving surface (24) on the first shell, and upon threaded engagement between the nut and second ball are cammed outwardly into ball receiving grooves (32) to secure the nut against inadvertent disengagement from the second ball. Outward movement of the balls cams a spring (56) outwardly to provide visual and tactile proof of the locked condition of the self-locking coupling nut. Threaded engagement of the nut with the second shell also compresses a spring between a thrust ring (20) on the first shell and a retaining ring (44) on the nut.

    摘要: A quick disconnect assembly is provided for use in a high voltage circuit. The assembly includes a housing having an elongated cavity closed at one end and open at the second or opposite end. The segment of the cavity proximate the second end is tapered with the narrow end thereof closest to the cavity closed end. A first electrical contact is disposed within the cavity and has a portion thereof disposed on the exterior of the housing. An elongated unit is removably positioned within the cavity and includes an insulated electrical lead having a second electrical contact formed on the end thereof and an elongated sleeve of insulative material disposed within the cavity and encompassing a portion of the lead. One end of the sleeve abuts the second electrical contact and the second end thereof terminates at the narrow end of the tapered cavity segment. A resilient seal piece encompasses a portion of the electrical lead extending from the second end of the sleeve. A cover member encompasses a portion of the electrical lead projecting from the cavity open end. The cover member when in one position is adjustable independently of the electrical lead and has a portion thereof encompassing and lockingly engaging a section of the housing adjacent the cavity open end causing the seal piece to be compressed and sealingly engage the tapered segment of the cavity and the first and second electrical contacts to positively engage one another.

    摘要: Electrical connector receptacle comprises an insulating housing having a plug-receiving end and a plug-receiving cavity extending into the plug-receiving end. A plurality of side-by-side stamped and formed conductors are insert-molded in the housing and have intermediate portions imbedded in the housing between one of the internal sidewalls of the opening and the adjacent external sidewall of the housing. First end portions of the conductors emerge from the one internal sidewall of the opening proximate to the plug-receiving end and extend diagonally from the internal sidewall into the cavity, these first end portions serving as spring contacts. The second ends of the conductors emerge from the adjacent external sidewall at a location adjacent to the rearward end of the housing. Stamped and formed metallic mounting posts are imbedded into the housing and extend from the adjacent external sidewall. These mounting posts are intended for soldering into metallic pads on a circuit board mechanically to secure the housing to the circuit board.

    摘要: Electrical connections for conductors on two spaced apart films are provided by means of a strip of connecting devices. The strip comprises a carrier strip with the connecting devices extending therefrom at spaced intervals. Each connecting device has first and second side-by-side crimp portions, each crimp portion being generally U-shaped. The connecting devices are crimped onto the two films by positioning one film between the arms of the first connecting devices of a section of the strip and the second film between the arms of the second connecting devices. The connecting devices are then crimped onto the film and the carrier strip is removed. A housing for the connecting devices is also disclosed.

    摘要: Method and apparatus for effecting perforation of a well casing with a casing gun while maintaining pressure in the well bore at a lower level than the pressure in the surrounding reservoir at the point of perforation. Before production tubing is run into the well, the casing gun is deposited in the bore below the desired production level. After the tubing is installed, borehole pressure is reduced to the desired level by swabbing the tubing and an automatic coupling and decoupling pickup tool is lowered on a wireline through the tubing and attached, mechanically and electrically, to the casing gun. The casing gun is then raised to the production level, as measured by locating the casing collars. When the gun is properly located, it is activated through an electrical cable carried along with the wireline. The casing gun perforates the well casing and surrounding formation, and is then decoupled from the wireline to be left in the well.

A plurality of electrical conductors are provided in and on the housing, each conductor having contact spring portions at one end, an intermediate portion, and a second end portion. The connector is intended for mounting on a circuit board having holes which receive the other ends of the conductors so that the sidewalls from which the contact springs extend is remote from the circuit board.

    摘要: A multiple contact electrical connector is provided with a universal receptacle adapted to mate alternatively with a single plug or various combinations of plugs while maintaining polarity of the contacts in the connector. The receptacle is provided with a resilient exterior for forming weatherseals at the interface between mating male and female terminals in the connector, yet also has a rigid central core providing sufficient strength for positive coupling with the mating plugs. In preferred forms, each plug has a centrally attached threaded bolt adapted to be received within a complemental insert formed in the rigid core of the receptacle for facilitating coupling and uncoupling of the plugs with the receptacle and for locking mating terminals in electrical contact with one another. The resilient receptacle is particularly adapted for releasable sealed mounting on the firewall of a motor vehicle by virtue of the provision of a removable U-shaped clip which captively engages the firewall in cooperation with a flange formed in the resilient body of the receptacle.
