摘要： A printed circuit assembly in a device such as a camera, for example, which is constructed in an extremely compact size and in which various mechanical parts are compacted in a hausing and various electrical parts are arranged in the distributed manner within very limited spaces between the mechanical parts and the hausing. In this printed circuit assembly, in order to electrically connect each of the above described electrical parts to the electric circuit portion forming the main portion of the device, flexible printed circuit boards which are so located within the spaces that they are variously bent in conformance with the configuration each of the spaces are each formed as a single continuous base board in such a manner that it has a third plate portion for connecting purpose connected to a first and second main plate portions of the base board extending therefrom at an obtuse angle to each other with the third plate portion located between the first and second main plate portions so as to deviate from the directions in which the latters extend in the manner that, for example, the third plate member is made substantially in the form of a general U-shape, a general semi-circular shape, or a general trapezoidal shape, so that the yield of the material in the pressing operation in the manufacture of the printed circuit boards is raised.

摘要： An image forming apparatus connectable to a first feed tray and a second feed tray includes an image forming unit, a feed path, and a detecting unit provided on the feed path to sense recording medium jam. An identifying unit identifies a feed path and a feed tray where recording medium jam has occurred as a jammed path and a jamming feed tray. A first determining unit determines whether the image forming apparatus is connected to the second feed tray. A second determining unit determines whether the second feed tray can feed a recording medium to the image forming unit. A feeding unit feeds a recording medium from the second feed tray to the image forming unit.

摘要： An electronic flash apparatus is provided with a display element positioned in the view-finder of a photographic camera so that the operator is immediately aware if the flash tube has been fired in response to the closure of the synchronous switch. The light emitting operation of this display element is controlled by use of a signal generator arranged to be responsive to the occurrence of discharge through the flash tube of the flash apparatus. With this apparatus, therefore, the operator may rely upon the appearance of this display element to insure that the firing is effected by the flash apparatus even when the object-to-camera distance is relatively small.

摘要： An automatic shutter control system for a camera includes a continuous rotatable motor coupled to a pair of separately engageable electromagnetic clutches. The clutches are respectively operable, when engaged, for releasing the shutter to commence exposure and for winding up the shutter after exposure has terminated. When camera operation is initiated, the first clutch is engaged to release the shutter and to trigger the start of a manually selectable exposure duration. At the conclusion of the selected duration, the first clutch is disengaged and the second clutch is engaged to begin the wind-up of the shutter. An inertial sensor on the motor terminates the wind-up operation and disengages the second clutch when the increased torque on the motor from wind-up reaches a predetermined value. Where continuous operation of the camera is desired, the completion of wind-up triggers an interval control circuit which effects the reengagement of the first clutch after a prescribed time delay to initiate another cycle of operation. Facilities are provided for overriding the manually set exposure duration whenever the required film exposure time exceeds such set duration to automatically delay the completion of the shutter release operation until the completion of the exposure.

An object distance measuring system which digitally displays the distance between camera and photographing object when an automatic focusing operation is carried out is also disclosed.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method and a device for detecting visibility of the image of an object for adjusting the focus of an optical system. The invention is especially suitable to an optical instrument such as camera, using photo-electric conversion elements having non-linear resistance -- intensity of illumination characteristics such as cadmium sulfide CdS or cadmium selenide CdSe, etc. The invention is characterized in that the photo-electric effect of the above mentioned photo-electric conversion elements will have mutually reverse characteristics depending on the properties inherent to the photo-electric conversion elements, to the arrangement of the electrode and the electric circuit, and further on the state of the image of an object formed on said photo-electric conversion elements. An electric circuit to enhance object image visibility is disclosed which makes use of these characteristics.
