    摘要: A developer container storing a developer of the present invention includes a developer outlet formed in the side wall thereof, and a shutter member for selectively opening or closing the developer outlet. The shutter member opens the developer outlet when the developer container is mounted to the body of an image forming apparatus or closes it when the former is dismounted from the latter. The toner container with this configuration surely prevents the developer from leaking when the developer container is dismounted from an image forming apparatus.

    摘要: A powder discharging device of the present invention includes a powder container storing powder therein and including a bottom wall formed with an outlet at one end portion for discharging the powder vertically downward. A container moving device moves the powder container toward the above end portion and then generates an acceleration opposite in direction to the movement of the powder container in the powder container to thereby cause the powder to move toward the outlet. The maximum value of the acceleration is between 40 m/sec2 and 200 m/sec2 while a period of time for which the container moving device continuously generates an acceleration of 20 m/sec2 or above is between 3 msec and 30 msec.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus, using a developer including toner particles and carrier particles, includes a developing unit, a cleaning unit, and a conveying unit. The developing unit contains the developer and develops an electrostatic latent image formed on an image carrying member as a toner image with the toner particles. The cleaning unit contains the developer and mixes the developer with the toner particles collected from the image carrying member after transferring the toner image. The conveying unit conveys a mixture of the collected toner particles and the developer from the cleaning unit to the developing unit.

    摘要: A developing device of the present invention develops a latent image formed on an image carrier with a two-ingredient type developer made up of toner and carrier. The developing device includes a storing member for storing a fresh developer to be replenished. A conveying device conveys the fresh developer from the storing member to a case, which stores the two-ingredient type developer to be deposited on the image carrier, while fluidizing the fresh developer. An excess developer discharging portion is configured to discharge excess part of the two-ingredient type developer to the outside. The developer storing member is implemented as an at least partly flexible bag.

There is a powder container having an upper section and a multi-part lower section. The multi-part lower section has an upper portion and a lower portion, the lower portion having an opening which is perpendicular to an opening of the upper portion. The upper and lower portions are rotatably engaged such that the upper portion and the lower portion are engaged with each other when rotated to a first position relative to each other, and the upper portion and the lower portion are unengaged with each other when rotated to a second position relative to each other.
