Abstract: A toner cartridge includes a frame including a toner accommodating chamber provided with a discharge opening; an elastic seal provided with a through hole; a pump communicating with the toner accommodating chamber; a sealing member capable of taking a sealing state for sealing the toner discharged through the through hole of the elastic seal and a discharging state for discharging the toner, discharged through the through hole, through the discharge opening; and a nipping member provided with an opening through which the toner passed through the discharge opening and the through hole is discharged to an outside of the toner cartridge. The nipping member nips the sealing member at a predetermined nipping pressure in cooperation with the elastic seal.

Abstract: A developer replenishing container configured to be detachably attachable to a developer replenishing device and to replenish developer via the developer replenishing device is disclosed. Abstract: A powder replenisher includes a powder replenishment container to be replenished with powder. A pressure adjuster increases and decreases operating pressure applied to a variable capacity portion. A powder measuring instrument measures an amount of the powder that replenishes the powder replenishment container. A controller performs a precise replenishing mode in which, after the controller determines that the powder replenishment container is replenished with the powder in a predetermined amount, while the controller controls the powder measuring instrument to measure the amount of the powder inside the powder replenishment container, the controller controls the pressure adjuster to replenish the powder replenishment container with the powder in a target amount. The controller controls the pressure adjuster to replenish the powder replenishment container with the powder while the controller controls the pressure adjuster based on the operating pressure detected by an operating pressure detector in the precise replenishing mode.

Abstract: According to examples, a toner refill apparatus may include a chamber to house a toner, in which the chamber may include an insertion section, the insertion section to be inserted into a refill port of a toner cartridge and including a discharge opening, the refill port including an electrical circuit component. The apparatus may also include a valve mechanism positioned at the discharge opening to control output of the toner from the chamber through the discharge opening, in which an actuator may engage the valve mechanism and may controllably open the valve mechanism. The apparatus may further include an electronic chip to be in electrical communication the electrical circuit component, in which a controller may activate the actuator based on a detection that the electronic chip is in contact with the electrical circuit component.
